The Vortex Razor HD LHT 4.5-22x50mm Riflescope was designed with long-range, open country hunters in mind who needed a riflescope that was lightweight, rugged, and easy to use. It comes equipped with the advanced XLR-2 reticle, which features a precise .15 MOA center dot above a “Christmas Tree” of 1 MOA sub-tensions to accurately compensate for bullet-drop/wind-drift, and can be used to gauge the range of a target with a known size. The XLR-2 reticle is also in the first focal plane, meaning the reticle shrinks or grows with the target as the user zooms in or out. In addition the Razor HD LHT features the RevStop Zero System to provide a reliable return to zero after making adjustments in the field, and a locking elevation turret prevents accidental turns.

we're waiting on the next generation razor gen 2 big boy, now that's a bad ass scope. ill save my money for that one because i know vortex puts everything and the kitchen sink in that one.

21 ounces for FFP with an illuminated reticle and zero stop? I'm not a fan of Vortex, but man... Those features are tempting at that weight.

The zerostop will limit elevation to 11.5mils. More than enough for hunting but could be an issue for NRL Hunter

I picked up two of the 3-15x50 with the HSR- 5i reticles from Eurooptics, when they were on sale for $799.99. Screaming deal! However, the zero stop 11mm travel limitation, while not a dealbreaker, is very irritating that Vortex didn’t disclose that beforehand! Honesty is alway the vest policy! Always! IMO….the glass is average at best. It’s doesn’t exhibit the same Japanese, blueish, brightness as the other higher end Razors. I’ve got Schmidt & Bender’s, IOR Valdada’s, Swarovski, US Optic, Athlon Cronus, Sightron,…….. (and other typical high end Japanese glass), etc, and so forth……….I found the Vortex Razor HD LHT glass disappointing! YMMV.

Agreed. I want to like Vortex too, but it just feels main stream mass marketed. I like their warranty but I think that comes at a sacrifice. Although my own budget my be forcing me down that road. @$1000 USD should be more options for a PRS. I like euro and Japanese stuff but that gets insanely expensive.

I prefer the MRAD reticle, but its a pretty stout scope, and you really can't beat Euro-Optik's prices

My lht 3-15x50 is great until you get past 10x and everything turns to garbage. Great features though.

I liked it until I tried out the windage knob. It feels like mashed potatoes. You can hardly feel the clicks. Because of that, not worth the money they are asking.

The elevation knob feel like that too, or just the windage? The windage is capped. The scope/reticle is designed to be held for wind instead of dialed - as is usually typical for hunting and shooting. Most people hold for wind Instead of dialing as it’s usually somewhat minor and variable from moment to moment. I can understand if the windage feel was not crisp to save money or weight with that in mind.

And no none needs that, just rack a shotgun and the sound alone sends them running 🏃‍♀️. I’m hitting pepper poppers at 1000 meters with my shotgun slugs with iron sights. 9mm won’t go though a thick leather jacket, and pistol red dots are a fad, new balance sneakers are the best just like 45 acp. 2 world wars etc etc.

My Redfield from Walmart is just as good. I’m hitting dinner plates at 1000 meters with my 30-06.

Might as well remove the lht from the name at this point. The 2-10x was the sweet spot. These scopes are way too heavy now. :(

This is literally one of the lightest scopes in its class and would be perfect living on a 6.5PRC

The 3-15x and 4.5-22x are literally some of the lightest scopes among their peers that offer good glass & usable reticles. I think only the Leupold VX-5/6 and Credo scopes are among the same weight, and they’re both about 17-20oz, too.
