The ABS light came on, I am going to show how I fixed the ABS light issue on this B5.5 Volkswagen Passat. I will also show how to replace the ABS Sensor.

I've been staring at my ABS light (now behind a piece of tape) for three years now- LOL.. I had the hub inspected by three different mechanics, they say there is no problem. None mentioned the sensor, I will check that myself. Great video, very clear on all aspects of the sensor and it's wiring. Thank you! By the way, that device you use for holding the wheel on while remounting it is brilliant, I must get one!

Yea, if there's a problem with the sensor or the wire, it will trigger the light. Sometimes it can be a pain to identify what's causing the issue, that's why it's good to have a scanner that can identify the specific wheel. Yea, the wheel holder is a must have. Lol

Nice video,i alao have simular stupied problem no1 knows whats that...in driving summer or winter happen that bulb start flashimg and car lose power,and when i use breaks sound is like you smashing 2 briks,it is for ice and snow bit why it also happen in summer,autman!?Road is clean,temps are not high 🫣 Do you have video HOW TO replace bulbs on control table(km,mph and everything else)?

sall, did you change the rear abs speed sensor on your volkswagen passat b5 car, it has a specific position, I replaced it with a new one, after which I deleted the error code and it is still lit on the dashboard of my car

Have the same car VW Passat TDI Wagon 2005 and my rear sensor fell off from the hole it was sitting at and I was trying to figure out how to put it back and tighten it there so it won't move. It took me couple of days to find out that this sensor was inside of steel cylinder which has only few millimeters wall thickness and this cylinder was part of something bigger and it was rotten and corroded from outside. That's why all contemporary vehicles have very limited life time. All these thin parts underneath are always in contact with water and salt and as soon as they start falling apart because of corrosion it extremely hard to replace them.

Bro, could you make a video about this car's PCV? I have a 2002 Passat V6, and this system is not working properly in my car, I live in Brazil, and here it is difficult to find information and qualified mechanics for this car, so I do the maintenance at home. But about the PCV I couldn't understand with certainty the connection of the hoses and the valve, and on the YT I only found about the B5 model, which is a little different. I don't know if it's understandable, my English is not so good, but thanks, your videos are excellent.

Okay I see. Is the check engine light on the car? What symptoms is the car having?

@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds No, actually there is no light on. The problem is the bad smell that enters the cabin, and the engine is very dirty with oil, and in some connections there is sometimes a vacuum, which makes the idle speed oscillate. The hoses are dry and even broken in some places, so the oil vapor ends up in the air and going to the cabin and dirtying the engine, and the PCV valve must be damaged, so sometimes there is an inlet vacuum in the hoses. Hose connections must be connected incorrectly as there are some parts of hoses that are different from the standard. So the help I would like would be about the correct connection, as there are two hoses that come out of the head, and one that comes out of the block, and they are interconnected, going to the PCV valve and then to the inlet manifold.

Sure! Are you able to open and close the hatch without issues? You, could remove the plastic panel on the hatch, then inspect the wires and connections on the latch.

hey im having an issue with my b5 v6 passat, i had codes for my coil pack, then i got a misfire code so i replaced the coil,plugs and wires and when i went to start the car i will not idle correctly and if i let it run it will go to 400rpms then it will just die, do you think its the pcv valve?

I just replaced the entire rear beam on my Passat B5.5, brake lines, calipers, one ABS sensor on rear passenger side. Bled the brakes, car drives fine. But now the ABS light came on just like on your gauge cluster. Help!

Scan the ECU and see which wheel has the issue.
