I love ur car super aggressive but not too crazy.. and yeah im getting ideas for my gti, right now I only have APR intake and just order some wheels, and im waiting to buy LED headlights but now im thinking to get more stuff

How would this setup sound on a new MK8 GTI? Would probably keep stock downpipe. You think running just one of those Amazon resonator/mufflers would be decent? Tone sounds great and loud, just don’t want drone.

I do have a file that will make them the car pop no matter what drive setting though I do not daily that tune. (I live in a small town with some bored cops🤣)

@@craiplayz I am currently on my 93 octane tune. I rotate between that and my e30 tune.(both of these only pop in sport mode under load) the active pops and bangs map is for 93 octane as well.

This is the Cobb AP Launch Control that you are hearing. It was set to "Slot 6" Which is 4,850 RPM LC.

Wish my mk7 1.8t golf could pop and bang like that haha its full stage 2 but you cant do pops or bangs sadly there entertaining

How did you get your launch control that high, did you use the accessport, if so could you do a how to video on it

This is just the standard launch control that you can get with the Cobb AP. Generally it’s selected during purchase of the AP.

This is a custom setup that I had made at a shop local to me. I used 1 vibrant ultra quiet res and 2 universal rear performance mufflers to dual staggered 4 inch tips on either side. It is all 3 inch piping as well as I am running a 3 inch catless dp.

Dude you need to explain to me how your exhaust doesn’t drone like crazy from 2800 rpm to 3500 rpm. I got the exact same setup but with a high flow DP and it drones and there is a buzzing/resonance in the entire cabin. Wheee did I go wrong???

It is likely a small exhaust leak or it is your exhaust tips. If they do not sit far enough out you will get extra drone. If it’s not either of those then I would personally add a dynomax muffler similar to the vibrant ultra quiet res and it will really eliminate any extra drone.

It would be slightly different but in the end very similar. A highflow cat barely restricts our exhausts.

@@HaydenCroix Bro I love the sound of yours. All of the catback exhausts like apr and mbrp, sound way too raspy and I’m not a huge fan of them. Yours has a really smooth Subie like rumble to it.

@@Leeoh949 they are about equal to be honest the the vibrant I’d say does more of the work. The mufflers just give it a nice tone.

I don’t want people to mistake it for an R so I leave the GTI badging. And the drone truthfully is not that bad. Especially when just cruising

Nope it’s from ECS tuning for the mk7

@@trustme42018 no, this diffuser is made for the mk7 gti to convert it to a quad to diffuser. It replaced the oem one.
