I’ve followed her and her protocol for well over a decade. The one ((BIG)) point to ask Terry regarding her protocol eliminating eggs: she’s not saying all eggs are the same… correct? BIG difference between factory / industrial raised chickens/ eggs VS. farm raised chicken on pasture. This is my biggest criticism of her: as eggs has saved my health on three continents. Someone ask her to specify, please!!!

Also she’s pointed out that the egg white is what people are allergic to. If you love eggs, this makes a difference.

Ever since I stop eating vegetarian and switched to keto I have discovered I don’t need all the fiber we are led to believe we need. I have been keto/carnivore for over 5 years and I get my blood tested every six months and all my tests come back perfect and some like my A1c have come back in some cases better than the one before. As a vegetarian I gained weight and at 210 lbs ai became pre diabetic with high BP and my A1c at 5.8. I now weigh 160 I run I ski I am active and I’m 70 and I have a lot of energy that I did not have as a younger man. I cut sugar/grains along with vegetables that contain lectins and oxalates! I eat a higher fat very low carb am with an moderate amount of protein diet! Sugar is the devil. Prove me wrong? But only without opinions and Only the unbiased facts please. I don’t think anyone can do it without name calling? Peace

Dear Everything ALS, Thanks so much for the great content you deliver with all these amazing people who give their time to help us understand... My dad is diagnosed with ALS but the physician who did it took almost 2 years to diagnose it because of "copper deficiency". I have done all my research and had these kind of conclusions of these things you talk about in this video, even electro stimulation without hearing from Dr Wahls. I am shocked that all these physicians tell us that it does not affect or would not affect the course of my dad's disease. BUT THEY DON'T KNOW A SHIT AND DON'T HELP FOR ANYTHING.... My dad doesn"t follow any of my recommendations that you are all laying here, because he believes more of the word of these lame physicians who don't do a damn research or even give recommendations on anything INCLUDING CLINICAL TRIALS which in the end all fail to do a single benefit. I will try my best to guide my dad into your path Dr Wahls if he listens... PEACE to all

HI there, thanks for the video. It would be interesting to know, why the ketogenic diet is NOT appropriate for ALS? Are there any specific reasons or research backing this up? Many thanks
@dr.sammypryor
@dr.sammypryor 2 жыл бұрын
ALS is driven by neuroinflammation. The best way to lower neuroinflammation is to have diets high in Vitamin C and E. Vitamin E is mostly in whole grains. Vitamin C is in fresh fruits. In keto diet you have to cut out most fruits and you cannot eat any whole grains. Most people on a Keto diet eat meat, cheese, bacon. They neglect the healthy stuff like all the vegetables which contain the antioxidants like sulforaphane which is needed to lower that inflammation which is contributing to the disease process. Those are just some of the reasons.

I read that she went through chemotherapy which put her in remission prior to developing this protoco l is this true because I don't hear in this video her directly address this?
@StarHarvestOfficial
@StarHarvestOfficial 3 жыл бұрын
She's talked about it in the past. Chemo wouldn't cure progressive MS to the extent that it has with Dr Wahls. If it could, it would be first line treatment for everybody. If she was selling snake oil she wouldn't be so eager to conduct studies to prove the efficacy of her diet.
@HolyMoly432
@HolyMoly432 3 жыл бұрын
Yes she does address it - my friend tried it too but it didn’t help much. She is now on hospice care and I don’t think Hinkles she ever heard of this protocol. Dr. Wahls isn’t selling anything. I think she is an amazing gift to many many people. There are before and after videos of people she has helped who have MS. I would sure t try it if I had either MS or ALS. Hope it helps more and more people.

In the 'Conclusions' slide that Dr. Terry Wahls showed, the very first point said "No diet has been shown to be effective at reducing the number of enhancing lesions, number of relapses, or disability status in MS or ALS." If that's true, then what's the point in even trying her Wahls Protocol? 😕

Improvement in quality of life. Search the comments section here or on other forums for comments by people who have tried the diet and it may help answer your question. Plus, the risks involved with improving your diet are so low, why not try?

Diet absolutely affects the progression of the disease. However, this is a generalized diet and people need specific diets based on what their microbiome is doing and based on their genetics.

Its becoming obvious,.....whether one chooses either Herbivore or Carnivore choices...one MUST cut out processed foods....cheap crap that kills our well being and brain strength. No arguments anywhere. Choose one or the other; I'm a carnivore with added fats for MY choice of MS-Like conditions. I choose the carnivore way, due to the high levels of nutrient density...and the ability to get the saturated fats that relate to "MS Like" problems of weakness, numbness, et al. So...the biggest agreement: get rid of cakes, ice cream, breading, rice, all wheat products. Then add good sources of meats...as a minimum...where we differ is in needing muscle stimulation via "TENS Units".....perhaps. Bruce Lee used Stim in his training...so, what do I know?!! I think ketogenic or high fats/proteins is the way for me. What's for you? Surely....get rid of processed foods, and NO wheat products. Just stop them.

@dr.sammypryor
@dr.sammypryor 2 жыл бұрын
That has generalized what is in your gut. If you have ALS, you need more specialized testing that can quantify and do sensitivity testing (testing for antimicrobials that work) on pathogens, because I work with patients with ALS, and they all have pathogenic bacteria and even parasites that are contributing to the neuroinflammation which is killing their neurons.

With all do respect you are wrong with a lot of your suggestions! Food is a source of energy! Anything you eat has its own energy therefore you need to eat based on the energy of food! Not to mention the fact that you have to take the energy of every organ in to consideration ! The seasons, location and the place where that person lives! Since the outside natures and the inside natures have to also be in balance! Thanks anyway but no thanks !
