Waianae Summit Trail FKT Traversal

The Wai'anae Summit Trail is a 24 miles long journey which requires certain logistics which can make or break your trip in the first couple of hours. To be able to traverse the WST under 24h is not easy. It requires good physical and mental strength, experience in route finding, bushwhacking and climbing. But even if you are a master of all of the things above, the success is not guaranteed.
Last year I helped my friend Mike Skinner to finish his one day traverse of the WST. He finished it in about 20h, which set the record.
I came back this year with my other 2 friends Rozie and Dylan to try to beat his time.

I can’t imagine how you still had the energy to do such a good video on a massive hike like this. Good company you are hiking with. Saw some posts from them on facebook, absolutely insane what they can do 🤯
