Amazing! I’ve never seen deer so relaxed in human crowds. This walk just proves that we can peacefully co-exist with nature if we want to. Thanks for taking us with you on this educational and enjoyable walk. Nara is lovely. Next stop…the library. Great place to catch your breath and refresh!

The Great Buddha of Nara, also known as the Nara Daibutsu or Birushana Buddha ¹. It is a large bronze statue of Vairocana Buddha (also known as Birushana Buddha or Big Buddha) housed in the Great Buddha Hall of the Todai-ji Temple in Nara, Japan ¹. Here are some of its dimensions ¹: Height: 49 feet 2 inches Face: 17 feet 6 inches Eyes: 3 feet 4 inches Nose: 1 foot 8 inches Ears: 8 feet 4 inches Shoulders: 92 feet across Halo: 27 meters (87 feet) in diameter
