19:37 I do the same when I go to a new country: I go to a supermarket to see what kind of product they sell. It's incredible the amount of info you can get about a country's habits. I call that "supermarket tourism". At first my mum wondered why I spent so much time in supermarkets on holidays, but now she does the same. More interesting than getting stuck in a tourist trap.

These were funny for sure, but honestly I worked for Walmart for 23 years, decided I wanted to be a teacher, and had nothing but support through my entire college experience. I earned my Master’s degree because I had management that worked with me every step of the way. I’m now in my fifth year of teaching, and can honestly say that if it wasn’t for my old store manager, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today. I can also tell you that Walmart has better health, vision, and dental insurance than my state job any day. I sure do miss those matching 401k and Health Savings Account contributions.

Yeah, there wasn't anything comical about that. I heard, "I'm 50, and the world can fsck off because I'm entitled due to age." Customer service, particularly people greeting, isn't a position well-suited to teens, and store managers and lower-tier managers should know that. Too bad about the wet shopping carts, but perhaps an hour at Target doesn't mean anything if you're braving New England winter weather to tramp around the store.

The truth between Walmart and Target is that Walmart has a larger selection of merchandise at a lower cost, but it is also more crowded with a less clean appearance. Target is a more clean, higher end looking store, but with less selection of merchamdise at a slightly higher cost. At Target, there are less shoppers and quicker to check out. They call Walmart "China Mart" when in reality, Walmart has a larger selection of American made products than Target does. Both stores have their pros and cons. I shop at both.

Well, that’s largely true. A major difference you missed, however. Walmart has been the target of a class action lawsuit regarding discriminatory labor practices. Target, on the other hand, has a pretty good record for being a decent company as far as labor goes. Honestly, I try to shop as little as possible at either but it’s not like I’m above enjoying them both from time to time.

When Sam Walton was alive, Walmart was the Made in America store. He refused to sell anything that wasn’t 100% American-made, unless the manufacturer could provide legal proof that a product or its components couldn’t possibly be manufactured in the USA. He also ensured that every employee earned a sufficient wage to raise a family on. When he died, all that changed. Worth over $254 billion, the Walton family is the richest in America. Walmart is among the top employers of beneficiaries of federal programs like Medicaid and food stamps.

Don't know about Walmart But I have seen abandoned karts all over goodwill. It's like people came into shop and then suddenly remembered they had a budget or something and there it is. A kart anywhere from a quarter full to brimming with stuff just sitting there in the isle or near the fitting rooms and they are numerous to. The hilarious ones are the empty one sitting near the kart rack as if everyone shopping got an emergency phone call and didn't have time to put away their kart.

I remember when I USED TO shop at Target, or "Le Tarjee" (that is as close as I can come to spelling it as it sounded in French) as we were calling it back in the 90's. I actually went to a Target a few months ago with my daughter-in-law. I left there stunned for life at their prices. Their clothing brand is not different, the styles are similar, just like every other thing in the store. I just laugh when I think for a moment to go to Target.
