Some times comedians should know when to push the envelope and when not to break the seal. That was a very tacky and tasteless thing of making fun of her condition on national tv for a laugh. Half the audience didn't like it either. Had Will not responded like that we would have been talking about the tacky joke Chris made instead. I truly hope that over time, both men can get past this with some healing and communication. People were not condoning what he did when they gave him an ovation. They were celebrating the subject of the win and the other people associated with it. They saw a man have a public breakdown and maybe their mixed emotions made them feel like they understood why, he may have snapped, but to try and shame them for not crucifying him on stage is no better. Now, it seems everybody else who screams "VIOLENCE ISN'T THE ANSWER AND HE SHOULD BE SHUNNED AND CRUCIFIED" seem ok with having revenge in their eyes with their pitch forks.
