I really like the IS2. It is just sad that the armor is not suitable for close combat. The cupola is such a huge weakspot.

That is true. A lot of the vehicles in War Thunder are based on a good teamplay. Surprisingly War Thunder doesn't encourage teamplay that much.

Because you got more kills or just because it is the 1944 version?

For the capture point B also some teammates can't hurt. Recently I had a match in the centurion mk1. and was all alone around B. I stopped at the path that leads up to B from the southside since I already knew what the outcome would be, but at some point I had to fight around B. Got destroyed because no help of teammates and the solid shots of the Brits. The IS2 has some punch and a good penetration. But take the reload into account. Did you se my map tactic on Karelia?

@@McKonggaming Yes I did and have been using it ever since. Mostly support avenues. Gun depression can be so critical on that map and if only a couple teammates come with you its game over usually.

Absolutely. I just don't know if I am good enough for top tier at this moment. And I only have some top tiers for America and Germany. Do you have any specific tank in mind? I can see what I can do.

@@McKonggaming ​ Eventhough Hightier needs some acclimationtime, i am very sure u are ready for that. Only the little maps are a pain sometimes - because the vehicles get really fast > BR 8.7. Both combos M48A2 C + BMP-1 sPZ and M48A2 G A2 + Begleitpanzer 57 are really nice for their BR

@@noir8945 Thank you. At the moment I try to play the Leopard 2k. The grind with the HEATFS was pain due to the composite armor. But the DM13 round makes it a little better.

I go with the stock shell, but you can use the B version. It has a balistic cap, that can help with angled armor.

That tank looks amazing! Most of my toptier tanks I got by playing around 6.3 to 7.0. I have the most fun and success at that BR range.

@@McKonggaming same, I see these pc players hitting with pure precision and my tanks feel so clunky with the targeting.

Difficult to say without seeing a replay. But you can try to practice the weakspots of those tanks you fight frequently and bounce the shots in the armor inspector. Also try to only shoot on flat parts and the sidearmor. Good positioning is an advantage to encounter enemies from the side. When you see where the heat of the battle is try to flank this position. But keep the long reload in mind. Don't expose your tank to long. The IS2 has to many weakspots. Also try to improve with each battle. Start slow and set yourself the goal to destroy 2 enemies before you die. Then get better with each match. Stay behind cover or back-up to achieve this goals. With which enemies do you struggle the most?

The reload is horrible and can be really annoying and unfun to play... but when you hit an enemy, it is most likely a one-shot. And in my opinion this is the rewarding effect playing this tank. You want and need to make your shot count. With the reload and some prominent weakspots of the IS2 you have to play as support and can't set the pace of the match. Take your time, play it save and make each shot count. Then the IS2 is fun to play

The IS2 is the tank that teaches you to stop and AIM before you fire.
