I just wanted to point out that transference was an Orokin technology long before the tenno, its just that somehow with the tenno's void powers they are able to physically transfer their whole body to their warframe's location via transference.

Are you not getting transference confused with continuity which they used to transfer their consciousness to a new body effectively living forever
@BS0I

@hades9635 Unlikely, i think what he referencing is a Silvergrove (titania) quest where it is implied that anyone not only tenno could use transference, but if they use it long enough they "fuse" with the "vessel" because in the silver grove quest it is stated that archemedian Silvana BECAME the silver grove herself because of being in transference with it for such prolonged pepriod, tenno just can use this tech scott free without fear of "losing themselves" in the transference stream for reasons i can only speculate on (mybe bc void has powers of corporeal embodiment an it somehow saves the tenno from "fusing" with warframes) also this kinda implies that our boi stalker might have been just a dax or some other non-orokin (first to test the transference tech?) who got also "fused" with his "vessel". Sorry for a lot of random gibberish im not a youtuber to write essays lol, anyways hope it makes sense

I really love the general direction Warframe's story is going. And tbh even though the sacrifice was a rather short quest, it really gives some defining traits to the Warframes we utilize in-game. I can't wait for more stuff dealing with the Indifference to come up because it's such an Eldritch horror type of entity. That oppresive weight of something you just know you can't win against and that will acheive it's goal at any cost. The Chains of Harrow quest finally made more sense to me after doing the Whispers in the Wall. And Ghosts of The Zariman, because while I knew there was something to do with the Indifference I didn't know what exactly, so those quests helped clarify it to me.

The "Sacrifice" quest made so far the biggest impact on me. And made me feel bad, thinking what the warframe I just created may think or feel, yet unable to express it, a true hell for a mind. To warframe game itself, I dropped it before, waaay before, couple of years. Only due to my friend, tried it again. And again felt meh. Up until the story started to make sense, to "second dream" I think. Not sure why, but it has soo bad hooking up on the start. Nothing is even remotely explained, just kill and finish a quest, next and repeat. Dozens of mostly same scenaries, having no idea why you are that space ninja. Thats the only lore like issue I have. But nice video, keep up 😊

Honestly me too I've played since release on and off. The lore is the one thing that kept me coming back because of the overall intrigue. Every story in Warframe is enveloped in mystery and I love to speculate. The space ninja thing is just a gimmick at this point but still cool. Sometimes😂. Thank you for watching!

Really good breakdown, and personally thanks to WitW I have a personal theory with imo the two most interesting characters of stalker and Wally/the indifference. Wally: So personally, I think the comment about everything having an opposite applies to Wally as well. He called the Indifference, an emotionless, uncaring, bored god, and I think all he wanted was some kind of connection. At the end of whispers we "defeat" wally with emotion, and given how Warframe plays a lot with themes connection and growth, I feel like Wally really isn't an enemy, but more like a bored child in search of companionship, however misguided. Next Stalker: so this is an insane theory, but after reading all the albrect logs it's something I latched onto. I think Stalker is Authur. DE mentioned we are getting more lore on him this year and well....1999 also continues this year. In Albrect's logs he mentions going back and with the technocyte "healing" people. Some of who adapted to the strain, which presumably is why Arthur looks like excal. Not to mention, it seems like Aurthur and Aoi have a vendetta against Albrect and aren't to keen about him. So my theory is that Arthur eventually fully mutated becoming the Stalker we know, and given what Albrect may have forced onto him shaped his hatred for us and the Orokin. The last bit about this, is that other than umbra's howls, Stalker (and his acolytes...but idk what that deal is there yet) is the only Warframe that can fully speak and form sentences (and apparently email us). I don't know, I feel like its very much a crackpot theory, but I'm going to latch onto it for now.

Hey, i think you have found out many of the thoughts of whomever is responsible for the deep warframe lore, but i doubt they thought this out this detailed and structured. its more like a concept that grows over the years and sometimes people forget what they originally meant, and sometimes the team changes as well. and i want to add something about the morale choices we make in all these quests. They are color-coded white, black and the "neutral" one, but it isnt grey, its half black and half white. Its the only dualistic choice, the other ones are consumed by either light or dark. so chosing the "neutral" one never was neutral, but the dualistic choice.

1:18 it is actually known, they state in the war within quest in one of the vetruvian logs that the orokin designed the infested to combat the sentients and when it failed to affect them, they essentially broken arrowed their own outer colonies to slow the sentients down by turning any and all bio material into hostiles.

With the alignment system being probably based on "you have a 'light' part and a 'dark' part and a sun alignment meaning we don't accept our dark part, neutral meaning we accept it and control it, and the moon meaning we let the dark control us", your theory of Wallter wanting our body is a bit... chilling. Though I wonder if DE would really take the time to make branches in the story, a bit à la Dragon Age. It's time consuming, after all.

I've notice a few issues with your theory. I'll go in order to break down some of the issues. Ballas is not an Archimedean, he's an Executor, part of the "Seven" who were basically the Orokin kings/queens with how much control they held. He was even the one to put the Sentient's creator to death by the Jade Light. The Warframes weren't necessarily insane by the Infestation, it's clear that their minds became warped, as more then just Umbra could move on their own. In fact it's a 'Tenno Free' warframe that encouraged the Tenno to turn on the Orokin. The Operators are somehow different from The Man In The Wall. How the Holdfast changes when they start 'siphoning' energy off of you, implies you are somehow a 'safe' conduit for void energy. That somehow we are the opposite of The Indifference... We Care. And the last bit. I don't think the Man in The Wall is an embodiment of the universe's mind, he seems more opposed to reality itself. He's the embodiment of the Void's mind, of something antithetical to reality itself. And the Operator is the unique being that acts as it's proper bridge, the being that both is and isn't, the being of true duality, Old and young, free and trapped, stuck keeping him trapped, and simultaneously the one thing that let's The Indifference access reality consistently.
@PenOfEvil
@PenOfEvil 6 ай бұрын
Ballas being an Archimedean was a mistake on my part. He played the role as if he was one. Umbra seemed as though he was meant to be the first without a tenno or before tenno existed. It's a bit weird when it comes to our powers as the ambiguity makes it difficult for a conclusion without shooting in the dark. Tenno being the good side of the void is something interesting that I'd like to delve into. Also considering wally to be the antithesis of reality is another take I respect. It does give a motive to something whose goal we know nothing of. Overall I believe your theory is solid. Good work here.🙌

For sure valkyr, umbra excal, voruna, protea, and citrine are really peculiar warframes, almost as if they have some type on sentience but buried deep inside. Perhaps the original and being is still inside but somehow regressed, I hope someday D. E would bring explanation for that.

Works cited: a crack pipe - There is nothing in the game that states that technocyte came from the gray strain. Moreso the other way around, where technocyte was the generic infestation strain, which then evolved into many different strains as time went on (Mutalist, Arlo's congregation, Helminth, Grey, etc) - No, Warframes were never called "Technocyte golems". The term "Technocyte" is only used exactly two times in the game: in the Nano Spores description, and Albrecht Entrati's notes - Excalibur Umbra was able to use Radial Howl and Exalted Blade without Tenno control.

There goes another person throwing the frames aside as nothing more than toys for the Tenno. The main thing that many people miss is that the frames were TORTURED. You do not torture mindless things. You torture people Even with Ballas stating they took volunteer or not, people still do not understand that the frames were free from Orokin control. The Orokin tried everything to get the frames to obey their commands and yet, the frames did what was against commands. What type of commands do you think the Orokin would give? They were warlords that wanted total submission and if you did not obey, they destroyed you and tortured you to comply. Do you think they didny so this to colonies under their rule? Warframes when they were free did not just do as the Orokin wanted, they fought for the weak and saved those they can. This went against what the Orokin wanted and so the Orokin donned them as unruly and savages. Its the same way those who conquer say the people they overthrow are savages and have no concept of civilization. Those who write history tell it from their viewpoint. And the Orokin see only their way as the way

"Orokin created the technocyte virus by these means" repurposed it yes but never create. The origin of the infestation remains to be unknown. If you believe all on the wiki to be true, why was the technocyte virus in 1999 in the new quest? I too side with it and say the Orokin created it but not enough info to consider it fact.
