Everyone need not to forget these guys have families, they can spend more time at home. Whats more important playing and traveling over half the year or spending that time watching your kids growing up and being part of their lives. Its a no brainer

A blade cuts both ways: Maybe there will be less and less LIV golfers in Majors...and with it less and less interest in the Majors. Without LIV golfers the Majors will become nothing more than PGA elevated events...simple as that

LIV players are now the global ambassadors for golf. It will get bigger.

Dj like brooks is not always focused-imo families being their reasons for losing some these days -but both will always be good for a win most years….as has happened for both this year on LIv -which is where they apply their trade now against many of the best in the world every event. What Phil Is saying is what has been true all along. The more they blackball players the more they only hurt themselves because the public is not dumb. In many ways the public identifies top talent better than these organizations.

Majors are asleep at the wheel. ÒWGR has proven themselves antiquated. Using OWGR for professional invitations is a losing formula.

DJ won in Las Vegas under very difficult conditions. I was there and the weather sucked.

Too many people focus on the personalities, you are all forgetting, this is PIF vs PGA/Private Equity folk and the PIF are not stopping. Your being blindsided by focusing on Norman all the time, he is a figure head, but he is not the master, it's the PIF. The players are leaving the PGA and will continue to leave the PGA just as major sponsors are bailing and the TV ratings are falling. It is about money, it's players looking at the dollars, the sponsors look at the dollars and the PGA/Private Equity people all look at money and control of the game. One would hope, but I won't hold my breath that the PGA/PIF can sort something out soon as we the fans are missing out on seeing the best golfers play together. Remember, Liv players are banned, the PGA banned them so the PGA are short changing the viewing public. Liv players I am certain would still be playing some PGA events if allowed. We the fans can tune in and watch what we like, as an Aussie I like Liv, why they come to Australia and they play around the globe and I do like the team format. Just my thoughts, we are all entitled to an opinion.

QUIT talking about an agreement already. Golf doesn't NEED the PGA Tour and LIV to have a harmonious relationship. Golf is better with both tours, and the Majors will figure it out BEFORE they become irrelevant !

I think at this point is more the PGA chasing a deal. This because they got together with the SSG, which invested money for profit. Also the players were given their shares, so if the biggest source if money (PIF) walks away a lots of people are not gonna be happy.

PGA next week, signature event pga this week -so a pga event worth watching 😉

The LPGA is more interesting than the PGA Tour right now. Scheffler is the only player playing great golf right now. The rest are a bunch of nobodies and has beens, Spieth, Thomas, Cantlay, schauffele. Aberg is solid, but his only PGA Tour win is the RSM Classic.

I mostly disagree. LIV golfers are busy trying to qualify for the LIV championship while the rest of the tours are trying to qualify for the PGA championship. They are both difficult to get an invitation.

You said the majors shoulld be the best players in the world then that would mean the even if the PGA and PIF struck a deal, plus they figured out the world rankings, then the Masters should no longer be a major. Would never even be close to having all the top players in the world in that tournament.

Liv players have contracted out why should the pga just bow down to them and the liv players take money off the pga players that have stayed loyal to the tour

And as far as what big names has gone to live when you can buy your players at 4 to 500 million dollars just to show up there's going to be several people go but it's the ones who put money first and the game last Jon Rahm was all about the PGA and loyalty and tradition until the purse got right then the money won out. So the last 5 tournaments,yes even the masters have been relatively boring. I love to watch golf but ,its lost the appeal. I have watched liv , but find the music irritating and difficult to tell who is playing well . Too much jumping around to catch allot he action happening at once.

I watch PGA because players compete in every tournament. There’s no guarantees, play your best or face the cut ! PGA plays 72 holes, LIV, 54. Watching today’s top young talent is preferable to aging players, under no pressure, playing for guaranteed money. Biggest turnoff, LIV is funded by Saudi blood money !

I think they made their choice so now live with it. It’s called the PGA championship and their not PGA members anymore.

LIV has some of the very best players on the planet. It also has players who are well past their prime and rightly so who opted to join for pension funds. It also has players who can’t break par on resort courses over 54 holes. I have absolutely no idea how they think world ranking points should or could be awarded in a like for like basis.

If 25 other tours play by the rules for points, why should it all change for 20 over paid players. Personally I'm enjoying watching different players on multiple tours that are not purely money oriented. They knew when taking the cash what the conditions are. Move on.

Remember the top five at the Masters were all PGA tour players, LIV golf is a bunch of guys who have already been paid and could care less how they play no real competition just a bunch of guys in shorts playing around of golf on the weekend.

They're not the best in the world anymore a lot of them has aged out they don't play as much competitive golf 54 holes the courses aren't as hard they don't have to practice cuz they've already got their money up front they're just out there for a weekend of golf that's why they don't play good when they come back to the PGA different level of competition so quit calling the best players in the world you have one or two that if they really work hard could get back to that level Brooks Jon Rahm and maybe one or two others other than that most of those clowns couldn't make the cut on the PGA tour

PGA is dead. LIV is the future. Sorry, but it's the truth. PGA needs to do more couples, partners with limits to even the field, best ball 2 and 4, skins. PGA is a monopoly that's dying fast.
