Good point- anaerobic cardio- weighted shadow boxing and bag work will lean you out without losing muscle- even sprinting- but steady state cardio aerobic will cause you to lose muscle mass 🎯

I noticed this with Thai fighters. They’re hella skinny yet, if you put them next to marathon runners, they are heavily muscled

Steady state cardio doesn't kill muscle mass.

@@Tovashi it definitely dosent preserve it- steady state cardio increases cortisol thus spike in estrogen- plus it’s lame

Yes I have seen your video of "how to get muscle from your martial arts training" and in there there are 3 points and they make sense 1.Pump/Burn out 2.Resistance 3.Diet/recovery

Weighted shadow boxing is so great. I also like to alternate or combine it with an elastic band. I had trouble finding power in my punches and was a bit lazy when pulling back, doing this daily, fixed everything in a few weeks.

No my bro!!! I’d stay away from all muscle work. Just light sparring and maybe some heavy bag work. Fight week is just for keeping the senses alert. Keep the body light and very sharp. High rep muscle work will slow your body responses in a fight due to the muscle breakdown
