Sci-fi being made reality. Fascinating to learn these. Demos like these get me asking what am i doing. Congratulations to the entire team who put countless hours and efforts overcoming problems we will never know about. 👏

Its not, as he said "this is nothing new in neuroscience". All this has been done years ago.

I’ve been thinking about what this could lead to and if it connects to whatever reading the signals of our nerves and translating it to something I’m thinking prosthetics but more controlling an entire robot but I think the coolest part would be immersion into a game.

Amazing work but This just makes me think of a military application where the lazer sight exists only in the humans mind and drones can fly around a building you always know where to look because the entire system is coupled to your HUD and the sensory information from the surrounding environemnt. Finding people in rescue senarios...Assisting people in writing and drawing using the brain's hardwired ability to track to assist people with bad handwriting.

Negative thinking won't advance our civilization. If the Wright brothers only thought of war as the usefulness of their invention, we would never had planes.

This is a really cool perspective, the problem is the limitations of the human brain. The brain is built to learn and develop by processing electromagnetic signals and creating synapses pathways that "learn" a function over time. That means if you want extra-bodily senses you need to have your brain "learn" that input. The process could be accelerated possibly by future technology, but its similar to people with nervous system damage having to learn to walk, or use their arms again. And that's with using the "native" biological systems of the human body.

In martial arts at a young age, visual concentration with elimination of all other senses kept deprivation levels at an amazing level of "nothingness".....HOW WILL NEURALINK CONJOIN WITH MEDITATION OF A BALANCE HUMAN?

I bet this could definitely come to improve a ton of eye conditions later in the future. Possibly Strabismus? Stimulate eye to move in a certain direction when someone cannot physically do it due to Strabismus?

Sight is by far the most important sensor we have, and to loose it at any time is unimaginably dreadful. To restore sight or to facilitate sight where there was none before is a number 1 goal for humans to achieve. Pushing this technology forward is a logical step that will create a mass market and that will reduce costs and stimulate future developments. Notably none of these prats are complaining about their highly versitile mobile phones but they probably dont remember or understand early mobile phones back in the late 1960s early 1970s that were the size of a car engine and usually occupied most of the car boot-space and could ONLY be used for talking to another phone.
