By far the worst part about waiting for my C8 Corvette to arrive was the suspense of waiting for the next order status code, and wondering how long that step will take. In this video I'll share a brief summary of each major status code, and exactly how long it took for my personal C8 Corvette to pass through that stage. Of course, everyone's timeline will vary depending on the circumstances. This video is just intended to help anyone about to order their C8 or still waiting on their order to have a better idea of what this full process consists of. The best ways to track the status of your order is directly through your dealership, or with the Corvette Concierge by emailing corvetteconcierge@chevrolet.com

Really cool breakdown man. It’s interesting how it took so long in the beginning and middle, but by the end, the car arrived faster than the codes were showing haha. Excellent information as always, CCT. After a couple of weeks/months with your new C8, could you do a video regarding the driving practicality and dynamics of the car compared to your previous C6 and C7 vettes? Particularly your experiences with approach angle, speed bumps, driveways, cabin interior, etc.

I drove a C-8 a few weeks ago. Absolutely awesome car. Will be keeping my 2018 Stingray for a while though. To much money difference for a little bit more car. Great video.

GREAT video! I've been looking forward to this video since you teased it on your last video. It did not disappoint! I follow MANY C8 KZfaqrs. Your content makes this channel one of my favorites, already! Keep up the great work! Couple of questions...when did you do all of the final paperwork at your dealership? My TPW is currently 9/7, so I'm getting close!! Will you be putting PPF and/or ceramic coating on your C8? If so, PLEASE make a video about it. I am STILL on the fence regarding PPF/ceramic coating.

I've been on 3000 status since March 16. My dealer said my car will be one of the last 2020 models ever built. GM stopped taking 2020 orders on March 18

My tpw was also July 27th it was built by the end of the day July 28th I know my car has been shipped because it was sitting in Kansas City last Friday but I can't figure out where it's at today

Great video, just found you today. Put my initial deposit down on Aug 1, 2019 and final deposit/order March 10, 2020. Still waiting at 3000 lvl. Dealer doesn't know anything and I reached out to GM social media and they couldn't give me an estimated build week either. How were you able to see the status code changes/dates? Unfortunately the only time I get any info about my car is when I call my dealer to check in. They only called me once... on March 10 to collect the final deposit/process the order.

Mine was the same way. Sat at 3000 status for many many months. Then all of a sudden my convertible shows up at the dealership. Communication is not GM"s strong point.

The dealer cannot seem to confirm that my order has even been placed. There was a $5K deposit placed and a 2021 configuration built on July 31st for the HTC. They are telling me that GM is not ready to accept the order? Is this because of the HTC and the 2021 model? Thanks, and that was a really good and informative video!

I have the same question. The Dealership just takes your deposit and you hear nothing. Because of the high demand I would not be surprised if the Dealership invest mine and others down payments and uses the Allocations to purchase themselves to resale at a Markup to someone else. Crazy!

I'm hoping to make a video on this topic. The C8 has much more predictable power delivery and feels more nimble, but the C7 Z06 definitely sounds and feels more powerful.
