Love this website and videos! Just have to say in my experience I haven't found doctors all that helpful.

Many of them aren't. But that doesn't mean you should skip a thorough check when you have long-lasting pain. It's important to rule out possible causes that might require treatment. Once you've done that, it's up to you to help yourself with exercise, etc. But don't make the mistake of thinking that some negative past experiences predict inevitable future uselessness of doctors. Many of them are quite good.
