Director Chad Stahelski is a fan of many action genres, including Asian martial arts. The mirror scene he said was "borrowed" from or inspired by Bruce Lee's "Enter The Dragon" mirror scene. JW 3 has a scene inspired by a Clint Eastwood western, and JW4 has an INSANE scene that I won't spoil for you but you will need ice packs for your jaw because it's gonna drop wondering HOW they did it with so few scene stitches. The music sync-up with it is badass too! Folks who have seen JW4 will know what scene it is.

The manager of the Rome Continental actor Franco Nero played bad-ass characters in his younger days, the original Django. In a deleted scene, John had an audience with the Pope who knew him personally. John made a courtesy visit to inform the Pope he was going after Gianna D’Antonio. Not Ruby Rose, Cassian was the good one, the best fighter John had to defeat.

Fun fact, in the movie "The Pope's Exorcist" released in 2023 (6 years after John Wick 2), Franco Nero plays the role of the Pope.

You are the best movie reactions on the planet. I think the mirror scene you raved about toward end was likely inspired by Bruce Lee's enter the dragon movie. It had a mirror battle sequence toward end that was really groundbreaking for the time.

John Wick is kinda like Deadpool without the sarcasm. He's the ultimate antihero. Trivia moment, when people say "Oh." after hearing John's name, it's a tongue in cheek reference to Keanu's character in "Bill And Ted's Excellent Adventure". Great reaction Miss! ❤

I have tons of movies I recommend to people, but I am just going to leave you 3 suggestions.They are older and you may have seen some or all of them. If you haven't they are all worth watching. Good stories. Great casts. They are Tombstone, The Sting, and The Great Escape. Hope you consider them. Enjoy!

Not to mention, John still has all the reason to take Santino after blowing his house up, with none of the protection included by the marker. Santino knew he had a small window when John would be vulnerable and had to act quickly. He just failed to realize he needed a small army to even nick the Baba Yaga.

John shot Gianna for two reasons. First, in order to fulfill the marker, she had to die by his hand. Second, before she cut herself, she asked John if he feared damnation. Gianna was Catholic, so self-deletion would have been a mortal sin. John also shot her out of respect, so she wouldn't consider herself damned.

Great reaction Colette like always, this one bring back so many memories from The Matrix seeing Keanu and Fishburne together on screen. This one is more packed in action i really love this franchise its keeps getting better and better, and the total kills keeps increasing in this one John Wick killed 128, other fun-facts about this one. The character of the Italian tailor is played by the actual costume designer of the John Wick films, Luca Mosca. Work on John Wick Chapter 2 reached an impasse when it came to the scene in which Wick must take out Gianna D’Antonio - Stahelski was unsure how to bring it to life. “Something wasn’t feeling right,” he told on an interview, and Reeves came up with the solution: Gianna should end her own life in a disturbing sequence in which she strips off, gets in a bath and ends it all. Keep up the good work.

I’d love them to do a prequel John Wick that shows him meeting Helen and asking to be allowed to leave their world to live peacefully with Helen. 19:06 the first three movies happen in less than a month. Winston (manager) treats John like a son. He always calls him Johnathan and never any other variation. 24:25 I think the pope was a code word for someone in their world. 37:16 he has to save face and make it look like someone else had John do it. If the Table realized that Santino had his sister killed for her seat he’d lose his seat and probably be dead.

41:43 the word for that area is the perineum. It's region between the anus and the genitals, and it's a viable kill area because it's one of the three areas on the body where an artery is close to the skin. Those are the neck, the armpit, and the perineum. The pudendal artery is the one that provides blood to the genital area, and can be hit if you get something up between the bones in the pelvic cavity. So he didn't stab him in the groin, he stabbed him in what society has lovingly labelled as "The Taint."

The thing about Santino is I believe he’s a selfish opportunist who is a little immature to think he could get everything he wanted, even trying to skirt the rules about marking the marker complete assuming all would go as he planned. Clearly he underestimated John’s resourcefulness and just how far he would go for his own vengeance
@Tomcat08817 күн бұрын
I think there are two reasons that John shot her after she slit her wrists in the bath tub. 1. He had to be the one that technically killed her before her heart stopped beating. 2. It is highly likely that because of the Italian heritage, she was likely Catholic. To take your own life is a cardinal since and you won’t see Heaven; so John taking her life kept from eternal damnation. I like to think the main reason he did it was number 2 because he help her hand and comforted his friend as she transitioned over.

Normally, for shotguns, calling the shells "bullets" makes gun owners cringe. But in the case of the John Wick movies, we're assuming they're using slugs, which are indeed bullets. Even if a body armor could stop a shotgun slug, said slug would still cause severe trauma, breaking bones, etc.
