I recall Issei’s last stand to Riser Phoenix when he was about to lose the battle. Rías would have no other choice but to yield defeat and give his Pawn another opportunity to challenge him once again, unlock the Boost Gear’s final form and defeat the Heir of the Phoenix Clan once and for all

I was just pointing out in the context of the list of the video, the guy vs madara would be a valid entry even though I agree that it's not a last stand and neither are some of the other ones. Also I think people aren't looking that deep into the actual definitions and more going of the vibes of a last stand, which is more along the lines of guy believing he would die due to the 8 gates. But if we went off your precise definition I'd probs submit Guys dad against the 7 swordsman as an entry.

Yamamoto's last battle was epic. The demonic hellish motifs flashback to what he once was and where he went afterwards. It was the end of old Soul Society, now under Shunsui they have started to initiate true changes and reforms including ones that never would've happened under Yamamoto. Quite a changing stand.

Not saying it should be top dog, but Erwin’s final charge should be higher. Also, Escanor against the Demon King came to mind. Maybe it doesn’t count cuz it was a team effort and they ultimately won, but he knowingly gave up his life in the process. So, I’d say, for him, it was a last stand

Zabuza vs the mercenaries was so good and memorable because you actually went from hating Zabuza to rooting for him and crying on his death, I know I did. The way he took them out, having lost the use of his arms with just a kunai in his mouth was so 🔥and then getting stabbed multiple times to get to Gato and Gato watching him come at him in slow motion was epic!

I won’t lie all might v all for one gave me chills with the lead up to the final blow made me feel like a kid again watching super hero cartoons. Granted think there is much better final stands earlier in the list.

An honorable mention would be Emile Bichelberger vs. Gregore from "How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord" as Emile refused to let Gregore get to Rem and remained standing even when nearly turned into a bloody pulp!!! He only stopped when Diablo showed up and thanked him in a true "bro" moment and Diablo finished off Gregore!!! Fortunately, Emile made a full recovery!!!😁😁😁

Juza vs Raoh from Fist of the North Star should be on the list. Juza was a man who self taught in fighting and was someone who pissed off Raoh. He even managed to steal Raoh's horse. When they fought again, Juza actually kept fighting even while dead. Raoh actually showed respect to him, ordering his men to bury him.

Based on the original manga, the head captain Yamamoto literally gave EVERYTHING he had, but not enough against Yhwach, the Quincy leader.

Vegeta vs Frieza on Namek was the best Last Stand. It played a part in Goku turning super saiyan. Vegeta died. And they saved the universe.

These are cool last stands, but personally no last stand hype me as much as Getter. Musashi fought an entire dinosaur army on his own and then nuke himself You could see him melting from the radiation, but he smiles and told dinosaurs "Now die again!". This scene is classic scene that inspire Kittan's sacrifice from Gurren Lagann

So, fun fact about #13: Kamina _isn't_ actually bleeding out in Gurren. If you pay close attention to the status readout, you notice something _veeeeery_ interesting when Gurren & Lagann combine: *There are no life signs inside Gurren* . When the pilot is alive, their icon is lit up in bright orange. But Kamina's is black. _He's already dead._ Most times, the last stand happens right before the character dies, when they use their last remaining moments of life to do something heroic. To save their friends, to save the world, to give people time to run away, to make sure the villain can't escape, to redeem the villain and let them live, anything of the sort. But here? Kamina dies without any chance of a last stand, and Simon has a crippling mental breakdown, ruining their entire plan. But he can't let it end that way. If the plan fails, everyone's dead, not just Kamina. And so... "Can't a guy rest in peace around here?" Kamina is one of the few cases where the character's last stand happens _after_ he dies. [Also, as a note, the series' creators actually confirmed that Kamina _did_ die when Thymilph skewered Gurren, and was dead for the rest of the scene after that. He just didn't let being dead get in the way of saving his little bro'.]

Juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust one thing. We don't actually have any confirmation that David was killed, and if there was one thing that was very clearly showed in Edgerunners, it's that they aren't afraid to show every little gory detail when it comes to characters dying, so for them to do what they did with David makes me think that he's not actually dead. I mean, if they WERE going to kill him off, why not actually show it to make it hit harder? We don't actually SEE anything.
