I had no idea this flight was so significant! Join me onboard an inaugural Loganair service between Aberdeen Scotland and Oslo Norway. We'll hop across the North Sea on an Embraer, see some of magnificent Norway from the air, take the fast train to the city, jump aboard the most scenic Metro I've ever been on, and take a look at the home of a Norwegian obsession that scares the life out of me! All in a days adventurising :)
Filmed 5th September 2022.
ABZ OSL 08:30 11:05 LM59
Flight price £99.99 inc seat selection (8A)
I will be continuing my journey from Oslo in the next video, stay tuned for that one!

Hi, I’m Steve, a travel reviewer from Scotland. Join me on my adventures as I discover my own country, often visiting places for the first time, so hopefully it's as much of an eye-opener for you as it is for me! Don't expect expert opinion, just a very honest journey of discovery. Sometimes featuring my intrepid sidekick Alicja, sometimes featuring adventures beyond the borders of Scotland. Enjoy!

You've hit the mark yet again. You just seem to have the personality for it. And that's the word - you somehow make these videos personal, almost like it's one-to-one. I once stood at the top of a ski slope, in Rovaniemi on the Finnish Arctic Circle, and how anyone could launch themselves down that is beyond me.

Thank You, Thank You for all your travels. I'm 76 with mobility issues and can't get around that much any more. Your videos are just the ticket to allow my mind to wander a wee bit. You and Alicija are so perfect that I feel almost like family. I hope I spelled her name right. I loved your Warsaw trip as I'm Polish and would love to see my Grandparents home country. Again Thank You.

Every even numbered year in the 70es, we'd go skiing in Norway in February, so I only know it covered in snow, which is beautiful. However, on a summer's day, you made me want to go there! I have family in Denmark, so we could drive from Lincoln to Aberdeen, get the flight, then the "booze cruise" to Copenhagen, et voila 😊

Way back when I was a youngster I went on the bus over to Cheltenham with my cousin and sister to watch the movie The Delinquents (Kylie Minogue film). For some reason it wasn't showing in our big cinema in Gloucester so we had to go to the dark side of the Golden Valley. As the bus was heading into Cheltenham along Gloucester Road Eddie the Eagle crossed over the road behind the bus, not on skis though, just on foot. We were all agog, "THERE'S EDDIE THE EAGLE" we exclaimed excitedly. None of the other passengers batted an eyelid!

Your visit to the ski-jump reminds me of the visit my son and I made to the ski-jump in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. I was amazed it was free to visit (can you imagine that in Britain?), but what I most remember is my then two year old son (in a pushchair after becoming tired of walking) asking me crossly after I had paused whilst pushing him up the hill to the top of the ski jump, "Why have we stopped Daddy? Come on!"

Steve that was so enjoyable. My teenage years were spent in Norway and Sweden. I lived in Oslo for 2.5yrs as a teenager so I was immersed in this video, especially Holmenkollen as I used to ski and sled the slops up there (not the ski jump though). That’s a newer ski jump than when I lived there. Great that they have a viewing platform at the top. Now I yearn to revisit. What a treat for you with the arrival at Oslo with the water tank and bagpipes playing. I’d be intrigued by a cost breakdown on your trip videos. Once again thanks so much 👏

Excellent vid. Can tell you the Holmenkollen zipwire is great fun. Not really scary more exhilarating, particularly if ski jumping fan like me. A few years back we went on a four man Olympic bobsleigh at Hunderfossen near Hafjell....now that was some ride. Just brilliant & I would recommend for a winter trip😃

Thanks for sharing Steve. I had to miss the ski jump out when I was in Oslo.

That was fab! Bit of the old Norse DNA so I'm interested in Norway 😉 Eddie the Eagle, one of my fave films! Dunno if I could have gone up there though, I was surprised at you! Lovely video thanks Steve.
