My father grew up in NC and became a country ham expert because of his NC upbringing. I made a point to ask him, on his death bed, who makes the best country ham because I knew that I would never get another chance to ask him. Without hesitation, my father answered, "Old Waynesboro" in Goldsboro NC.

the best ham in wayne county for me the salty the ham is the better the flavor i grew up with it in goldsboro
