Thank you for what you’ve done with your channel… I’m an ex con … been out for 5 years now and I still suffer PTSD… EVERYONE tells me prison is behind me… they don’t understand … it’s only one raised voice away in these modern times… And sentences only get bigger… I’ve spent the last week alone binging your content.. and self reflecting… I feel like a better man for it… Cheers.

Donna, I'm a retired Met police officer and no one could be more disgusted and angry as us guys, past and present. What those wicked bastards did disgraces ALL of us. But remember, it was GOOD police officers who worked tirelessly to make sure the case against these scummy c**ts was watertight and they would never see freedom again. I joined when I was a teenager... I genuinely wanted to help my community and make a difference. I never hurt anyone. As an old man, I can only apologise for the the let down that you feel, and it's rightly so. And that breaks my heart. There are still good coppers out there.

when the police went to arrest David Carrick they were being ridiculously soft and casual with him, anyone else would have had their hands behind their back in handcuffs, he was under arrest and just standing there in his underpants with his arms folded arguing the toss about it. Very satisfying to see him get a minimum of 30 years in prison, he will be 78 before he can even try and get parole.

The prison service have a shortage of prison officers. A lot of the prison officers have left and the government can’t employ people as people do not want to do those jobs any more, too dangerous, too much stress and not worth the money for the danger they are facing. Have a look at reports at how the uk prison service is lacking prison officers and the prisons are now run by the prisoners. These two fiends are in trouble and I guarantee they have been getting served up on a regular basis…but we the people won’t hear about this, but it will be reported on a local news outlet or paper just not the national news.

36 life sentences = 30 years b4 possible parole......what a joke
@OnlineLawyerUK
@OnlineLawyerUK 2 ай бұрын
The way sentencing is announced in court, due to our legal system, doesn't represent the actual amount of time to be served. It is a complicated thing but most in these circumstances will do life. The reason they are announced the way they are is be arise we have a "totality" rather that say 36x30 years. Same for minor crimes where people often serve less than what's announced at sentencing. Its just the system and how sentences are announced. Doesn't mean the is all he will serve or if one will ever even get out. Parole just has to be considered for human rights reasons even if said criminals never get out. Hope that helps a little. He won't get out with that level of offence and it's drastic impact on those who suffered and his risk to the public.

No, due to the nature of their crimes they automatically go onto a VP wing because aside from stopping people getting over the fence a prisons other main role is a duty of care. Guys from normal wings who are vulnerable because of drug debt can request protective custody but it's not always granted. And if they fuck around to much on a VP wing they can find themselves put back in to GP .

I used to work on area party cleaning the prison grounds in Walton back in 2002. The nonce's worked the library which was on the far end of the prison. When they were due to come out, we was locked in oversized dog cages while they were free to pass. We got a good look at them. And one of them was the police officer that put me in there! . All the screws said that if it was upto them they would let us loose on them and also provide a variety of gardening tools. And one particular one said he will forget to lock the cage on his last day 😉.. Shame I was freed before his retirement. I would have enjoyed that.

Next time you get him bragging about it, hit the voice record button on your phone, make sure you get him to clearly identify himself and hand the recording in at your local police station and keep a copy in case they sweep it under the carpet. I was seriously assaulted by a "police officer" while laid pinned on the ground bleeding profusely from a serious head wound and when I tried to report it, after being charged myself!, they all closed ranks. Happily I got him back years later. And they wonder why we hate the police.

I'm not usually the sort of person to say 'lock em up and throw away the key'. I think of myself as someone who would favour rehabilitation. However, I firmly believe that in these two cases, whole life tarrifs were wholly appropriate. These individuals were in the ultimate position of trust and they both violated that trust in the most heinous ways. As a member of the public and as a woman, I feel utterly betrayed by these individuals. They are where they belong so they cannot hurt anymore people. Rest in Peace Sarah Everard 🕊💔.

It's a pity both of these individual's trials weren't televised.I'm a firm believer in justice being seen to be done.I know members of the public can witness trials at The Crown Court in person, but i believe cameras should be allowed in court.We have cctv,speed and ANPR cameras everywhere, and we are one of the most surveilled societies in the world,but we still don't have cameras in court unlike the US.Disgraceful.

@@seymourclearly What a stupid comment to make.Who says televising trials is for entertainment purposes? Clearly you do.The BBC's remit is to inform,educate and entertain.Why doesn't televising criminal court proceedings fit into the educate and inform category? Do you consider the BBC parliament channel to be entertainment then? Parliament resisted tv cameras for many years but it was argued that our parliamentary democracy should be transparent and open to public scrutiny and so cameras (under strict conditions) were allowed in.What is so special about law courts that they shouldn't also be open to transparency and public scrutiny with tv cameras under strict conditions about what can be televised.Those individuals in the public galleries in courts go to courts for the 'entertainment' do they? Don't judge other people by your own low standards i suggest.

As disgusting as these guys are the other prisoners in prison are also vile. They have the audacity to hate police officers when in reality it’s the scum in prison and those yet to be arrested who are ruining society. Whether it’s theives, gang members, knife crime, drugs etc. they deserve to be targeted also.

@misterheavy2296
@misterheavy2296 2 ай бұрын
Partially true. Unfortunately, a lot of these "scum" in prison are perfectly innocent and are only there because they have been fitted-up by bastards like Carrick who are encouraged to do so by the bent criminal justice system which isn't interested in whether or not someone is guilty or innocent but only in whether or not they can be convicted. A conviction can be obtained by many means, and it's not necessarily the same thing as guilt. Becoming a police officer is the perfect career opportunity for those who were bullies at school,. Unlike becoming a gangster, it gives the antisocial element a smokescreen, a veneer of respectability and an infrastructure to work within. The thugs and bullies on the force - sorry, "service" - will be protected by their like-minded colleagues unless the scales tip so far that it becomes obvious that there'll be collateral damage, or a danger of the public becoming aware of them, in which case, like Carrick, they'll be thrown to the wolves.

My next door neighbour was murdered by her detective boy friend. He was married and my neighbour got pregnant so he thought I have to get rid of her. She was 8 and a half month pregnant and had a 4 year child. It was awful she was found round the corner beaten unconscious and her head in a bucket of water. He was arrested and spent some time in prison and had to have 24 hour protection. Then he got bail and disappeared and found dead in his car with the exhaust fumes in his car. So 3 people dead including the unborn baby that just 2 weeks to being born, a child left with no mother, parents and family in dispair and grief. It was 29 years ago and still feels so bad, he obviously wasn't very good at his job within 3 days he was arrested.
