This is hilarious, I adore this game, my dad bought it when I was 3 years old and I played the game so much that I can genuinely still remember how to beat each of the Ufoes. my favourite thing to do was always to grab a tank or military vehicle, make the metal gaunlets, and fight everything I possibly could, never did beat the story but almost 15 years later I still find myself wanting to revisit it

Nostalgia is really a bad thing,i played this because i remembered loving it as a kid when it came out...but playing it now i realised how flawed it is...some things are interesting like braking buildings and some gameplay features,but other than that its horrible especially the PC port

I think if the studio that made the God of War series tried their hand at making a sequel to Ultimate destruction that adapts the story of World war Hulk, it would be pretty amazing.

My guess, if Insomniac strikes gold with that upcoming Wolverine game and the soon to be released Spider-Man 2, its very likely we'll be seeing Insomniac as the house for Marvel video games. Hulk included.

@@legoking6165 Nah. Pretty much every hulk game that came out even this bullshit one respected the players decision if they did not want to indulge in the story and wanted gameplay above everything. One of the reasons I really dislike their newest games is they force story and cutscenes down your throat even if you don't want to. Even the newset Spider-Man games don't do this.

I know for a fact my brother and I played this when we were kids, but I can't remember anything outside of goofing off in the city and fighting Abomination. Any memory of what happens in between is just my brain filling the gaps with Ultimate Destruction, I now realize.

I don't know why they didn't just have a feature where if you charged the Hulk's jumping button he would just go higher. I think that at least would make exploring the city a little more interesting if you were able to jump on the tallest building and then hop around to and fro.

Oh you and me are on the same page. And I mean you can charge your jump, but what I'm doing in the video is the maximum height and distance. Makes me sad, dude

First Hulk game I ever played (and still own) is the tie in game to Ang Lee's Hulk. Which to be fair I have an odd respect for the movie. I'll have to review it one day...anyways have a great day and awesome video as usual.

I definitely respect how different that movie is, it's more of a character deconstruction and case study on mental illness than it is a traditional comic book film and that helps it stand out, there's just a lot of other things about it I didn't jive with lol Glad you enjoyed the video!

The Shell-Head Achievement is obtained by 1) if you have an iron man save on your HDD (which i’m sure at the time of recording you did) OR 2. defeat hulk buster - which meant you needed to reach threat level 9. I KNOW IM A YEAR LATE BUT IM ENJOYING YOUR MARVEL VIDEOS MAN !!!!!! edit: I COULDNT WAIT 12:00 minutes FOR YOU TO EXPLAIN THIS LMAOO AS U CAN SEE UR VIDEOS ARE GREAT

As a kid i played Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction and thought that game was Freaking AMAZING. I remember being super hyped of this game and asking for it for my birthday......oh man just no I really didn’t like this game at all. Now I was wondering if I was wrong there clearly from other reviews snd this one I was not wrong.

A lot of the points you made in the video were the same problems I faced in the PS2 version. I feel your pain haha. Great video though. Loved when the AI caused a chain reaction of panic.

Putting hulk in nyc is not a good idea, technically its a mess as you've pointed out, it can work, but the resource it takes to render a moving city where everything just has to smash, along with the realism art style they went for, it was going to have problems. And the achievement that popped up randomly was for playing iron man on your xbox profile, which i think is pretty funny, like sega was really expecting everyone to play all the licensed marvel games or no 100% completion for you.

There still a lot of untapped potential with hulk games and I think this can some what be a good baseline on an open world hulk game.

I'd argue Ultimate Destruction, which came out several years before this, managed to capture a closer feeling of his comic-based capabilities without sacrificing control It helps that Ultimate Destruction is just a much better game in general

You have to be kidding me, this hulk game is such a downgrade from hulk Ultimate destruction, it's probably the worst hulk game out there, Here's what makes it bad : -wax like characters -slow and sloppy combat -lame voice acting -boring story -earrape sound effects -slow traveling -invincible civilians -weak environment The only upgrade is better graphics and that's it

I had this Abomination on PS3 and don't remember any of these cutscenes, come to think of it I don't remember it looking as good as it does here. Did you get a greatest hits version? Or is the 360 version really that much different ?

Ooooof. Honestly a hulk video game would probably be better if you treat the Hulk like a monster in a monster movie. Trying to accomplish an objective as Bruce without Hulking out seems vastly more interesting.

I remember seeing a part of the game based on the Ang Lee film that did something like that, where you gotta get through an area without getting angry so you don't Hulk out. It was more or less just a fail state for a stealth section though so getting angry is just kind of the default for being seen

Well, apparently you don't know what you are talking about you are not a Hulk fan,you didn't play Hulk ultimate destruction (one of the best super-hero games ever made) AND Ang Lee's Hulk movie is awesome. It was made almost 20 years ago,the CGI is more than amazing for the time and it really captures the essence of Hulk. But you wouldn't know since you never read the comics. With that been said, you are right : This game is not so incredible like te Hulk nor the ONLY Hulk movie that made justice to the most complex Marvel hero.

No no, nothing like that. They ran into issues with Edward Norton (the actor that played Banner in Incredible Hulk) and recast him so they didn't have to deal with it. The also sort of separated from that film a bit since Universal owns the film distribution rights to the character whereas the rest of the films were produced by Paramount until they were able to establish Marvel Studios and eventually get that Disney money after the buyout

Oh hardly I've reviewed a couple Hulk games since this video (which is a couple years old, I should add( and liked both of them more. My problem with THIS game is about more than the character you play as or chalking them up to an undercooked trait. My problem with the game is that it's overly long and worst of all, it's boring.

I remember trying to buy this game multiples times throughout the years and never had successful transaction, For unknown reasons everytime i tried to purchase the game the staff can never find the disk and yet they keep displaying the case up for sale.

I hate this game but I own copies on PS2 Xbox 360 and PS3 because of my love of superhero games so it's collecting dust and you can't get it digtally anymore

I remember dying so hard that I wanted my parents to buy me an Xbox 360 so I can play this game instead got an Xbox one (cause it came out in the same year I think?) And I was so mad cause I wanted to play this game but after seeing this review no thankyou :) Additional note: I also got Lego Marvel superheroes with my Xbox one
