Thanks MFJJ and Tim. I’m glad everyone was safe and what a blessing. Josh thanks for sharing. I’m going to share a small part of my Tuesday Dec. 12th. I was hunting with two friends that morning. Out early, very few words spoken only to say “have a good hunt” as we were focused on hunting. I’m going to say it this way**** PLEASE wear a harness and secure yourself to the tree**** one of my friends didn’t return home. When talking to some other hunting buddies about wearing a safety harness, their comments were the same as my friend that didn’t make it “I’ve been hunting 30 plus blah, blah, blah and it hasn’t happened yet”. Yeah ***yet*** c’mon it may be uncomfortable or takes more time or a hindrance or hasn’t happened-yet- everyone please secure yourselves.

That Jeep story was crazy. I’ve been thinking about getting a smaller hunt truck. Maybe not a Jeep.

Thanks for the podcast and for sharing life.... I now view everyday as a blessing. In August 2023 my wife and I lost our middle daughter, I had to retire early with no income in April 2023, then almost died of sepsis in August 2023 and lost the front 1/3 of my left foot resulting in rehab and learning how to walk again. I missed the 2023 hunting season and am now facing rotator cuff surgery next month due to a freak accident while on my knee scooter back in September. I will be out of work until late next summer with no income, but I AM still alive and have my friends and family. Thanks for keeping it real. Glad you're still with us MFJJ.

Thank you guys for staying consistent with this it’s a highlight of the beginning of every week. This episode was refreshing and a good reminder to be thankful and appreciate the good. I’m healthy and able bodied, have a great family, and was still able to harvest a whitetail this year. Even though there are some temporary things I’m unhappy with, so much to be thankful for.

Praise the lord that you all were okay. My prayer for you guys is you know Jesus Christ as your lord and savior , life is short and there are only two places we will go after this life and that’s heaven or hell and if Christ isn’t our lord then it’s gonna be eternal separation from God I pray that the lord grabs your heart from this experience. God bless you have a great day

Since I'm on the short stick of life, I feel compelled to respond to this podcast. Choices matter! We get to choose how to respond to life's experiences. You clearly understand the gravity of your life experience on the mountain and have chosen to take the positive from what could have been life ending. You expressed appreciation for the future and the importance of the people you love. Good on you. I just don't understand those who allow what others think or say about them to control their mood and attitude. I suspect you do care about what others think about you, however, you've learned to choose your response. That will save a lot of ulcers in your future. Best wishes to you both. Merry Christmas and happy holidays.

Thank you for sharing everything you shared. I'm happy that you did. It gave me a little perspective and outlook on life. Maybe some things that we forget from time to time. But as always thank you and another great podcast. I can't wait for next week's. Appreciate it to the fullest

So I'm a few years older than MFJJ, never thought I'd ever be sitting around watching any PODCAST, but here I am. I really enjoyed your story about your incident in the mtns. I grew up around Sweet Home Oregon and when in High School a buddy of mine and his dad rolled there Jeep off a MTN road around 1983. Lucky they both were ok with just some minor injuries and very lucky as they ended up on a old cat road that had been cut across this logging unit. You guys were very lucky. I had my own incident in Colorado in 2014 with my Tacoma. My wife was with me and she bailed out and I remember her saying "One of us is going home to our kids" it wasn't really that bad IMO but her being from the city it scared her pretty good. Merry Christmas and have a safe New Year!!

As someone who has been in those exact situations a few times because I seem to learn lessons the hard way.....one suggestion if you are ever on crap mountain roads and it even slightest bit slick/sketchy, it's time to chain up before anything stupid happens, when it's icy don't mess around and chain up early. Had some serious flashbacks of being in that exact situation myself and it only took trying to get though one shaded corner on a mountain road, that was icy when everything else was bare dirt and thats all it took but would of been no issue had I just taken the 5-10 minutes and put the chains on.

I love the flexibility in Josh's prioritization of time and focus. Regarding the Monday fulfillment time to keep a finger on the pulse and identify where you need to research or pivot - have you considered investing resources to develop weekly or on demand analytics/trend reporting which would allow you to flag products or product families and provide you with reporting to arm you with the same information? Could both reduce your time investment and enable you to schedule that review at a time truly most efficient per your schedule

That financial statement couldn't be true going from having to save that money in a bank account and making some poor mistakes to struggle and really makes you realize what you had and how much easier life was and how you don't want to make those mistakes again, whether they were bad ones, good ones or just dumb ones

The #1 question to ask yourself; if you had died on the side of that mountain, would you be in Heaven or hell today ? If you can't answer that with all certainty, you sure need to get it right while you can. God saves us for a reason.
