I tend to draw from a low position, because I shoot in my yard and if the release fails or I accidentally touch the trigger the arrow will fly into the ground and not over the fence, and always come in to the target from the left. Tried turning body more inline with target but still come at it from the left.

Just had a fantastic idea for you guys! Throw a green screen inside the door of the woodstove whenever it’s summertime and use green screen technology for the fire! That would be awesome.

I do the same for my arrows, I have victory rip tko in sports and elites, I spine them cut off the wonkiest end, and I'll spin test the points/broadheads with insert and turn them till they spin the straightest, recently got the rip as the tko in my area Australia have gone up $85 a doz, and they come with a much better insert got them in the sports as well, spin test and no issues shooting out to 110m

You can 3D print broadheads. There are carbon fiber and metal 3D printers.

I agree with Tim. Most East coast guys don't pay any attention to the broad head tune because of the shot distance.

Bowmar gets hate because he's a poacher, and douche who has burned down people's property, started multiple wildfires, and has had his hunting rights removed for violating game laws. In addition to causing the controversy that caused a hunting season to be shut down, and killing animals that they didn't want.

Appreciate the videos guys! I have a question maybe Tim or Josh can answer. Single bevel broadheads such as the magnus single bevel is setup to spin right. So you will need right helical on the fletchings? Asking for my recurve.

do you worry about the 3 vanes and 3 blades on a broadhead being on the same plane? Also just wanted to give you guys a shout out. I learn something new almost every video or podcast. I have only had the opportunity to stop into Spokane Valley Archery just once. Being a left-handed shooter, I was so impressed with your inventory especially left-hand equipment. The one time I stopped in MFJJ was there I had asked a question and he stopped what he was doing and talked to me. Thank you that really impressed me. I support 100 % of everything you do.

I learned how to make an arrow fly correct from my recurve. Draw weight, 3-4 Feathers, vanes, point weight, arrow length, spine & so on. The 35 years of instinctive recurve shooting at deer from 5 yards to groundhogs at 80 yards to rabbits at all yardages it taught me by feel what makes an arrow fly correctly. I got lucky once and killed a groundhog at 83 yards with a recurve and a 4 fletch 2219 with 200 grain Rothaar Snuffer. Wonder what that hold over was? 15’ft? But that 4 fletch 2219 with that set up flew perfectly. Problem is you could smoke a cigarette before it reached that groundhog at 83yds.

I think a thorn broadhead has a small profile, it is a little long but it should fly great. That said I will probably take the grim reaper 1 3/8” mechanical or the new Sevr on my mtn goat hunt.

I just started shooting. And I like your light arrow Theory . How do you get under four hundred gains with a thirty inch arrow with a third inch draw? Please help.
@davidgeske47982 күн бұрын
Tim, you made a comment about not hearing people shoot light arrows with fixed blade I think. I’ll see if I can test that this year. I’ve built my arrows to 409gr with 17% FOC (Black Eagle X-Impact, 26” C to C, 165gr up front) and will have both SEVR 2.0 and Iron Will SB w/bleeders in my quiver. Hoping to have similar flight. Long shot will use Iron Will, sub 50 will get SEVR.

I shoot 67lb 29" 300 spine rip xv (around 350 grains) @ around 315fps and an Ozzcut 3 blade 1⅛" and have shot near 30 whitetails with a similar setup and blow through everything i shoot. I have never shot an entry side humerus bone but have shot through 2 shoulder blades at around 10 yards with no issues. Just my experience

Chris Bee made a video a couple years ago testing the accuracy of mechanical heads and they still need to be tuned. “Field point accuracy” is a myth. Most people probably never shoot their broadheads until it’s at an animal
@critter8520042 күн бұрын
The hate the bowmar’s still get is laughable, and honestly incel like activities. They paid their 6 figure fine, time to move on. My only issue with Josh Bowmar is he said on the HUNTR podcast that you can’t tune a fixed BH well enough to shoot it accurately at long distances like you can with mechanicals IE sevr, swhackers, and their beast BH. It’s just not true, even my average shooting ass can get my TOTA XLs to group with my FIeld points at 60 yds (all I practice to since I’m in the northeast, and my avg shot on whitetail is less than 25 yds).

Wassup guys. Awesome conversation today. I've been shooting Stinger Buzzcut broadheads the last couple of years, but was thinking of switching to a single bevel this year. I'm torn between the Iron Will 125's or the VPA Omega's. I'm curious what your choice would be. I'm mainly a whitetail hunter from a tree stand, so I have shorter shots. I'm pulling 60lbs at a 29in draw with 27in Victory RIP arrows. Keep up with the awesome shows. They're always a must watch. Because I'm bound to learn a thing or 3.
