Jason, that mushroom may be a choice edible Parasol Mushroom as they grow in grassy fields, but obviously MUST BE properly identified by a spore print & solid research and/or a mycologists before ever eating ANY wild mushroom!!!

Well, you see how Nugget comes to the same spot to greet you… The chickens and geese did the same thing at the other farm. And yes… Jessie came from a completely different farm, and still learned what to eat at her new farm home. That’s why donkeys and geese can serve as guards for the other animals. Animals are BRILLIANT!!!

It's always a treat to discover a new video from Cog Hill or Mrs Cog Hill. No matter what is happening in my life your videos always make me smile. Your animals are a bonus. My Granddaddy always said his donkeys and pigs were his smartest animals. I never doubted him. Judging by Jessi and Peaches it remains true. Looking forward to seeing the animals in their new homes. The new barn and BovineLand should be an easy transition for them. The '40' continues to evolve and be amazing. Your vision exceeds my wildest dreams.

A rancher in Montana doesn't have to round up his herd in the mountains where he let's them free range all summer. When it comes time to drive them back into the lower range to winter close to the barns, they are gathered at the gate and fence line waiting to be let through the gate. Livestock is way more intelligent than is generally known!

I heard somewhere of West that our illustrious government has decided to go to the mountains and find so-called wild cattle, and shoot them... I can't remember if I saw that on TV news which is for a fraudulent holes at best, are a KZfaqr, something I need to check out for myself.

Exactly! Growing up, we always had a couple of hogs growing to be fed to our family. If one of the hogs ever once escaped the fence we knew we would never be able to keep it contained inside the fence. For several years we had an American Bulldog that I named Pogo. Pogo liked nothing better than chasing cats, squirrels, and any other animal. Although the hated Mother’s cats, he would leave them alone; however, he would chase the hogs back into the fence when told to do so. Showing how smart pigs/hogs are, even if Pogo wasn’t home, all we had to do was yell for Pogo and the hogs would take off to their pigpen. It was so funny to watch! 😂😂 Also, we always had a milk cow. When Daddy got a new cow, first thing he did was train it to come up to the barn when he whistled. Each morning and evening, when he milked, he would whistle and the cow would raise her head and look for him and then come running to the barn.

Thank for showing Jessie. She was up to some of her old tricks when you're back was turned. She was kicking the bucket you had her food in, she likes the noise and it seems to entertain her. So DeJay got the donkeys two different types of balls to play with. One was just round but the other had a heavy duty handle on it so they could carry it around. I know Jessie liked the round one she would kick it around the pasture.😂

My geese are trained to go into their outdoor enclosure during the day and to go to bed at night. I also have a goose that sleeps in a dog kennel in the house. I tell her that she needs to come into the house and "go to bed". She walks through the kitchen and goes into my room to go into the kennel. Animals are way trainable.

I think you'll find it relatively easy to train the animals to the new system. First, animals like having food security, where they dont have to compete or worry that someone else might horn in. Second, they are in separate paddocks now, so they'll still have that muscle memory about being separated. I think these two things will be very helpful, and of course they all love and trust ya'll. Getting the assistance from the animal therapy farm person about how to organize it will really make things a lot smoother too.
