We dyno a Big Turbo MK5 GTI 2.0T before the AWD Conversion.

This is part 1 of a mini series as we do an AWD conversion on this existing big turbo MK5 GTI. We figured we'd dyno it before tearing it apart to test to see if there's any power difference between dynoing it as a FWD versus dynoing it as an AWD with the Haldex disconnected.
Current setup is a 2.0T TSI with a hyrbid APR Stage 3+ turbo kit now utilizing a GTX3076 and Tial 44mm external wastegate.

4:00 Haha another advantage of the 5th injector in the long term might be cleaner intake ports ? It's just a guess as the problem normally is there isn't any fuel mix flowing thru the intake tract to wash the blow-by pcv crap out of the tract.

Small impact on this as that injector is only used under high boost/power demand. But yes, with MPI that's a big benefit.

Well done man i love watching ur videos progress as you get into the swing of things. Also this car has come a long way since i remember seeing you post stuff on it ages ago, and its gona be a whole new monster in the spring by the sounds of it. Does it still have a fancy stereo in it? Or did that go away when it went on air? I cant remember i just remember being stoked because it was one hell of a clean car with power and got driven!

It still has a decent stereo.. this is truly a street car. However the big sub and am are gone now. Once I told the owner I lost a race to another MK5 I built that had less power... it started to go on a diet. :) Thanks for the comments, each video is a struggle and Clayton and I are just winging it. Good thing is we both have some artistic background so it makes it a bit easier. It's getting over the stage fright that's my biggest problem. lol

@@COMotorsports dude my hommie kyle (boostedlifestyle) was a total introvert when he started his youtube like would only talk to folks he knew and was kinda quiet now hes 75 000 followers and killin it. Keep at it i love the addition of clayton because he asks questions that you might not think to mention! Keep it up boys

@@TokyoCollins Yeah... the thing is I'm an extrovert, but I also didn't grow up in the era of social media and selfies and always having a camera in my face. So for me being in front of a camera definitely takes me out of my comfort zone. But we're going to keep at, and like any other challenge in life I'll do my best to work through it. lol

I want to 4motion my passat theres a 3.6 4 motion passat that comes standard what would i have to do to get it to work? i know about the gas tank issue and im a mechanic myself so its no hard for me

Don't know haven't done one. However if it exists it will be cheaper likely for you to just buy that model.

is the gearbox also a mk5 r32 ? im in the uk and planning on doing this conversion but not sure if the r32 gearbox will fit my tfsi bwj engine

4cyl and 6cyl have different bell housings, the rest of the trans is the same. If you watch one of the last videos you'll see were actually using the GTI trans and making it AWD.
