4 жыл бұрынBringing new life to this old MK5 FSI Big turbo setup. Tuned with Eurodyne Maestro and Torqtune WM Controller we were really able to take advantage of the direct port water meth injection. Built 5-6 years ago and driven harder than your average street car. It's definitely proven itself already, but with some upgrades it was time to take advantage of them.

i love the progress on these gents! also love the continued reference to pumpgas as 91! meanwhile guys online are like 'its pump gas' and its because theres a god dam 120 race gas pump down the road from them in good ol MURRICA!

Yeah I've definitely seen 104 at the pumps in my travels down there...but scrap all that. Now that ethanol is available most places in the US there's literally no comparison. 91 might as well be 2 stoke blend at this point.

That depends who you ask. I think the mk3 gets more hate than the 5 and chassis wise the mk4. Mk5 was one of the best gens in terms of chassis improvements and handling but I have an obvious bias lol.

@@PLr1c3r yeah I agree. The 5 was the first "fun" gti since the mk2. Too heavy tho, but it captured some of the original feeling. Still nothing is more fun then the 1 and 2. Mk7 seems to be a complete package from what people are saying

Buddy's Shop well the main complaints of the 7 is it’s too boring where the 5 & 6 still maintain some road feel and nimbleness most videos of all gens compared place the 5th as the best Gen of all even more so than the 1 & 2 for the balance of fun and safety with all of the commodities of modern day vehicles.

Wild how much of a help the water meth is... I gotta get on that since my 1.8t a4 has a 93 octane tune on it and it’s not the biggest fan of NS 91 fuel... especially over the summer with the higher ambient temps

Super cool to see this much power out of the mk5 but like you said without awd it's hard to use it Would the awd conversion be extremely expensive?

I’ve heard so many mixed reviews about the rs4 injectors. What made you guys not want to run ev1 or ev14 injectors on the car ? I know the ie manifold comes with pre modified adapters to accept the bigger injectors. I’m asking because I have a built motor mk5 & I just bought the ie manifold & a meth kit for my big turbo egg. Curious how much power these rs4 injectors can truly support with meth in the picture.

This manifold was purchased years ago before ie offered a port injector option. However controlling the 4 injectors is what is the real problem. There are options yes, but none that are super awesome. For this we used a direct port WM setup essentially for fuel. As for fueling, upgraded lpfp, upgraded hpfp, fuel pump module and rs4 injectors I believe is good for around 400whp.

Wow, nice numbers. I am In Australia, we have 98 octane which is all I run. I have a mk5 Gti dsg K03, Stage 2+ bluefin, insulated intake hpfp, 3 inch downpipe MK6R intercooler, upgraded intake pipes, new diverter, pcv. My gti looks completely stock so I'm going for a complete sleeper. Is there much gain in a catback?, I'm looking at fitting a valve before any mufflers or the tail end of the exhaust for some straight pipe testing purposes. I'm also thinking about purchasing a eurodyne adapter and attempting some tweaking, could you possible send me files remotely?, I have vcds so I can log via that. I believe that my bluefin tune is ok but could be better. We could potentially film a remote tunning vid. I watch alot of the car channels and do all my own work . Keep up the great work, you turn them up well.

Focus all your attention on fueling. The rest is easy.

@@Aintnogoodnames 400whp... stock rods. Yep expect a bent rod. These are the same rods that are in the 1.8t... meaning 320-330whp is about as far as most push them.

Check for misfires that will be the true tale.

Currently no misfires just pulling 7 degrees of timing between 5500 and 7400. Also very rich around 12/15 at idle

Ej400 turbo kit has a Incorrect listed Maf housing it’s around 3. Not 3.5” inner diameter so was tuned mafless for now also.

Depends on compression, and turbine housing but the turbo is good for 590hp so capable of 500whp.

RS4's in this one. They won't get you this far in power... the WM is whats helping it get over the ~400whp mark.

FSI or TSI they still have fueling issues up this high. Power for power it's the same stuff. Gen3 TSI different story.
