Kenny I would suggest for when you're looking at hitters to not focus on batting average so much because while it is nice for a hitter to have a high average, ops is a much better stat to see if a hitter is more of an overall good hitter. An ops of around .700-.750 is around average and anything below that is normally below average for hitting and anything above is above average.

I did a sox rebuild a week ago, trying to be somewhat realistic. Draft and develop, trade players that arnt part of the future for prospects. Ended up signing Soto to a 7x30, justified it because he's only 25, can build around him, crochett and robert. Signed beuhler to a 3x10 for a veteran arm to help a young but promising rotation. Also grabbed Ferguson for the bullpen. I like the glayber signing! This series is awesome Kenny! Cant wait for next vid

Should have had the top prospects on the spring training roster. Their stats would have given you an idea of where to start them. If they were bad to just ok, AA. If they were above average, AAA. If they were God tier, straight to the show.

I actually think Patrick Wisdom could be a great signing. He's a guy you could totally flip at the deadline for a prospect or two if he's having a good season. That's one way alot of teams are able to rebuild, they just sing veteran guys to 1 or 2 year deals, and then flip them to a contender looking for a rental bat down the stretch for some young guys.

In my experience, 18/19 years old NEVER hit well when you bring them up the first year. The process that has worked best for me is: start the year in AA as the main starter at the position. Halfway through the year send them up to AAA (unless they’re doing bad). Start of the second year they should be good to be called up.

I drafted an 82 overall rookie the other day, dude hit like .260 his first year. Wish I would have put him in like double A and let him get a little better before I called him up. He was 99 potential too.

Try to focus on OPS more than batting average because that is a way better way to tell if someone is a good hit or not .750 is considered average, so anything about that is above average anything below that is below average.
