So I saw this recipe for transparent potato chips on Facebook and thought we had to try them! I wanted to try out a series where I try Facebook food video recipes and see if they're worth it... so I took on the transparent chip recipe! It took Safiya and I like four days to make these clear or glass potato chips but in the end I think we succeeded!

in Indonesia it's called "glass chips", after you bake the chips in the oven. You have to fry it to make it more crispy. I swear you will like it.

These basically look like potato flavored shrimp chips. Buy shrimp chips from an Asian market and they look like colored versions of the unfried glass potato chips. Once you fry them in hot oil they puff up in the same way. But since they're shrimp flavored I wager those taste a lot better than these. Plus they're way less work.

It...basically looks like you made those huge Vietnamese Rice Cookies. Where it can become rice paper and then into a rice cookie via microwave or fryer. Also, I love how cute Saf is being at the end just chomping down on the chip.

In India we call them papad!!!.. We sundry it oil fry... And enjoy it as a side snack during lunch or dinner... Fun tip... You can add a little bit of chopped onions tomatoes coriander some shev salt pepper and chilli powder over it and make masala papad... Love it!!
