What a great resource having nice straight timber to mill. A literal lumber yard in your forest. You are wise to put it to use. What fun!! Must be very satisfying.

Pretty sure that log peavey is only meant to turn logs already on the mill.

Hi Heather & Cecil. You know Rome wasn't built in a day. You will get there eventually. I think you may need to get a bit more roof coverage on the poll barn before Winter. Take care and keep safe. :-))

Hi Cecil I enjoy your videos been watching you pretty well from the beggining, but today I have to say something as from someone who has been in the excavation business for a hell of a long time. First of all having a excavator even a wee little one does not make you an operator. Thus why didnt he dig himself a 2 or 3 foot trench and slip the machine in there and dig from that level. second the trench has to be stepped anyways to avoid cave ins and be safe to work in . Come on that is just the basics. The work youre doing is hard and i hope there are good returns for it. Good luck
@SkinnersOffGrid11 ай бұрын
Hello Walter, he mentioned about digging a trench..but he said then he wouldn't be able to lift the dirt over the bank that would be there. This is just what he told me :-( I sure hope we can get it dug out and filled in before winter sets in. Thanks again. You have a great evening. Cheers!

do you also have insulation to put on the basement walls ?I think you are better with the quad in the forest and ride out with the sidebyside

Hello Eddy, no...we want some heat to go out side of our walls to keep the ground from freezing. You have a great day. Cheers!

@@SkinnersOffGrid that may be necessary for you , my house is 75 precent the same as yours , but i would have liked to have insulated the basement anyway 🙂
