We need to talk about Lucas Raymond

I created this video to show that Lucas Raymond is becoming a Superstar with the Detroit Red Wings. Lucas Raymond is also one of the most underrated players in the entire NHL in my opinion. Raymond is having a huge breakout season with the Red Wings. He is a big reason why the Detroit Red Wings are still in the playoff race. If he keeps this up, I think that the Red Wings will make the playoffs. I predict that Lucas Raymond will become one of the best 2 ways forwards in the NHL in the future.

The Red Wings have so much good young talent. They have Raymond, Mo Seider and Simon Edvinsson I could honestly see them being cup contenders in a few years.

Razor definitely has a bright future ahead, he should definitely have the A on his jersey next year and never know, I can see him as a future captain of the Red Wings once larkin retires

Everything about his game is exceptional. If he was smart, he'd take a bridge for a 3x6m. Something tells me he is going to be elite elite in a couple years. Like I'm talking top 5 scoring in the league. Hell, he reminds me of Datsyuk. I said REMINDS, don't attack me people lol. Just the way he plays, his iq and his 200 foot game is reminiscent. Datsyuk never topped 100 points in a season, but he was still a top 3 player in the league year after year. If Raymond turns out to be like Datsyuk, and doesn't top 100 points, i'll be happy. That kind of player is worth three 100 point getters. Because that player is going to make everyone he plays with that much better.

Plus he's prolly one of our best guys on the forecheck/working in the corners. The weight he gained over last off season really paid off

Usually takes anywhere from 2 to 5 years for a player to develop and breakout into their full potential. if it doesn’t happen by year 5, most likely it will never happen.

People are way too loose with the term superstar, superstar is guys like McDavid, MacKinnon, Makar, etc.

McDavid is a generational talent. Mackinnon had 153 points after his 3rd year. Raymond has 162 points with 12 games to go in his 3rd year. So more than Mackinnon who you call a superstar.

@@Dave-fo1cb look, I know you aren’t dumb, I’ll assume it’s late night where you are. Cause MacKinnon is multiple tiers above Raymond. MacKinnon has had 5 seasons with on 110 point pace or higher, and unluckily Covid made it so he couldn’t actually get the totals he deserved until last year. I can’t quantify it with numbers, but just with the eye test, MacKinnon league wide is known as one of the most dominant players in the league in terms of just overpowering his opponent. Raymond will never be that.

Since you did I point out to you Raymond is further ahead than Mackinnon point wise at this point in Raymond careers. Never compared him to Mackinnon at this point in Mackinnons career. Somehow you got triggered by the video. Is it jealousy? Do you hate the Red Wings? Are you an Aves fan? Gotta be something like that. What is it? Why were you threatened?

puck control, yes. great shot, far from it. He has trouble elevating the puck a lot of times and his release gets stick checked a lot before he gets it off.
