I think thats worse. Luffy was presented as having natural instincts and not having regrets. It's what makes him perfect for Pirate King. By taking that away, it doesn't seem like he is above the others...

@@bakagakure6435 yeah my favorite one is when Usopp sees Baratie in the smoke from a mile away before anyone even knows what it is! You can just tell how much of a fan he is and it makes the show that much better!

@@unversedhero6028 They can just have a nice friendship and not be romantic at all. The main reason some people ship them is because they're the male protagonist and the female lead, so they feel like they have to get together.

And yet, he completely failed to understand major character traits and cut stuff that damaged character development in awful ways, on top of ruining the Luffy/Nami hat scene by making Luffy informed on the situation and therefore damaging the very essence of his character. And let's not even talk about how he completely ruined Garp as a character along with his relationship with Luffy.

@@FuzzyDlop Oda approved of basically everything that was added/changed or put into this show. If you think it doesn't do the original material well, you can argue with oda

​@@FuzzyDlopif you ask me, luffy being present may have been a choice made solely to make audiences not think that Luffy is being a jerk. I get what you mean and I prefer the manga version too in that sense, but maybe they didnt want to showcase Luffy as a person who simply doesnt care about his nakamas past. However, Garp being present since the beginning is something I liked more here

After the time skip he has some bad moments but it's understandable even if is annoying

@@shockzz1234 I mean, if you don't see them again for like 200 episodes, it's pretty much true. If you appear again for an episode out of 800 after their arc ended, that's much closer to a 0-100 ratio than a 1-100 ratio.

It's interesting that Suraj sees Arlong as a more fleshed out villain with some motives to his actions and they're somewhat dismissive of it, because they've already seen his arc but not yet Fishman's Island. The show even added theme park details to this version of Arlong Park!

That’s only in the anime. In the manga, he cut off his own leg with a rock & ate it for survival.

@@CrowTRobot San-J is a food company that makes a variety of sauces, including soy sauce. Still, it fits in with Sanji's love of food. And there's something else about his name.....that I"m not going to tell you because we don't know until the anime gets up into its 800s, not sure when we find out about it in the manga.

@@Kuralai95 I grew up with candy candy, lady Oscar, Saint seya (I skip the live action), then naruto, full metal, nana, gto, one piece and more, a lot more... Kids are so into full metal and naruto, we were planning their first cosplay but, life decided that I had to face financial issues right now so we have to skip their first comicon 🥲🥲🥲 I promise them that I'll work hard so next year we'll put it together, once again, their cosplay as shikamaru and choji, I'm working on this promise 🥲👌 my eldest loves naruto and my youngest loves Japanese food, food in general but the Korean BBQ 😎👌 is another level, we enjoy watching anime, reading manga, taking part to Japanese festivals and... lately we r so into Miles morales, here again, I grew up with spidy, I use to pretend to be spiderman and my uncle use to play the villains part, that's how I grew up, this year, watching the second movie of Miles and then re watching all spiderman movies with my kids at home, so they can understand the cameos, was genuinely tender 😊 and.. what about the trilogy of lord of the rings? My youngest loves golum and sings the fish song every time I make salmon 🤣 this part of motherhood is good 👌 we share my weirdest hobbies and they love them all 🤣 we recently watched also planet of the apes, with Cesars, the "recent" movies, I couldn't believe they love this trilogy and were so curious and, quiete watching all the movies 🤯

How Zeff loses his leg in the live action is actually the same as how he loses it in the manga.
