Had a similar experience at Laguna Seca. We drove to the track just to see if we could see any of it from outside, since we were driving by it. There was some sort of Christian rock concert thing going on and we told the guy at the gate we just wanted to see the track. He said, "Oh ya I think it's over there somewhere" and pointed. And sure enough in a few minutes I'm walking around taking pictures of the corkscrew.

@@blue_lancer_es That is because Italian and Spanish are both romance languages. Romance languages share Latin as a common root language. While English is a Germanic language, sadly you can't do the same between English and German. Sadly, with influences of Latin, French, Bengali, Marathi, and another two dozen other native languages spoken in territories formerly held by the British Empire, one could say English has sailed far from it's root language.

I live in Monza, about 3-4 km away from the race track. I like to go to the park and enter the autodrome with my bicycle or roller skates sometimes, you can go around the infield and sit on the grandstands without any problems if no events are occurring. Sometimes in the middle of the week you even see motorsport teams that are there for testing, or people going around the track in their supercars. It was very cool to hear about my hometown here on this channel! Awesome video!

PSA To all sim racers out there. Rock climbing shoes are excellent for sim-racing. Not walking boots, I mean proper skinny, sticky climbing shoes. No good for real racing beacuse of fire protection and stuff, but great for sim racing.

Except as someone who rock climbs I buy my climbing shoes to be a very tight fit. They would be too uncomfortable for any length of time on the sim. Also they aren't much cheaper than some driving shoes.

@@Kris_T_ But if I'm paying €100+ for climbing shoes I want them to feel secure for climbing, which inherently makes them somewhat tight and uncomfortable to wear for hours at a time. If i want driving shoes, why not spend that money on a pair of dedicated driving shoes instead?
@Kris_T_

@@CromwellsATaintdName My advice was to all Sim Racers, Not rock climbers. If your a climber use old rock boots. For the majority of sim racers who are not rock climbers, buy a comfortable pair. This reminds me of the time I went to a small time car show/get together for FR-S/BRZ owners in Louisville, Ky. It started at a shop in Louisville, but the last event was at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indiana. It wasn't our event, but the idea was to go and enjoy some drifting and drag racing. So we caravan the two or so hours there and stop for dinner, at which point I realize my phone is going to die. I can't be without the GPS, so I tell them to go on to the track while me and my friend run to the store for a car charger. They tell us that everyone is parking across the street and entering through gate 1, entry fee is like $10. Some people are just going, some plan on racing. Either way, we get the charger and GPS our way over to the track, but can't find gate 1. I think we made a left when we should've made a right. We see gate 2, 3, and so on, even stopped at one to ask the outside spectators where the gate was but they just stared at us like we were crazy so we just kept going. We eventually to the last gate, I think it was gate 6, and after it there's just a subdivision. Now, up to this point every gate was closed with no guard booth or officials standing near them, but this gate was open. And the guard booth was empty. So we look around a while before driving in. We pass rows and rows of trailers, trucks, and haulers, plus some show cars, but no people. Finally we find a row of cars lined up waiting to drag and I see one of the BRZs from the group, so I pull up to him. He tells me that he's in line to drag with a puzzled look on his face, probably because I seemingly showed up out of nowhere. He tells me where everyone else is and I find an empty part of the lot to park out of the way of the drag line and meet up with everyone else. Everyone was equally confused when I pointed out where I was parked because they had all parked across the street and paid to get in while my friend and me had accidentally snuck in. And that's my favorite part about that story, that sneaking in was a complete accident. Still makes me giggle.

I don't know if this is still the case, but if you're in Italy, you want to be careful of the Carabiniere. My dad was USAF, and he got stationed at Aviano Air Base in the early 80s. So, the family got a three year Italian vacation. ;) Since this was still the cold war AND there was an active terrorist group (Red Brigades) operating around northern Italy, the Carabiniere didn't mess around. They would do traffic stops in pairs. One officer would conduct the traffic stop, and when he held out his sign, you were supposed to stop. IF YOU DECIDED TO BLOW THE GUY OFF... He'd radio his buddy a kilometer down the road. His buddy was equipped with a sniper rifle. According to my mom, they were shipping an airman back to the US who decided he didn't need to stop for them while we were there. Seeing that the cold war has been over for thirty years, and I think the Red Brigades officially disbanded twenty years ago, things may be different.

But the AMG-GT does not come with a Manual Gearbox so shoes designed to Heel/Toe are irrelevant.

Hi Ed, I have a question for you and figured you would be the perfect person to answer. I am a aspiring Lamborghini huracan performante owner but I’m not old enough to drive yet. I know that the world is switching to electric cars and I saw that California is banning all new car sales with gas engines. Also the oil in the ground won’t be there forever. I have done lots of research on investing and business and finance and I have general idea on what I have to do. I have a goal to own the car by 26 so my question is do you think I have enough time to enjoy the naturally aspirated V10?

Short answer: yes, definitely. We’ll have gas engines as long as oil is in the ground. And I don’t think we have a shortage of that.

There will be plenty of oil, and if not.. Gas cars can be converted to run on hydrogen. Bob Lazar modified his C4 vette to it years ago.
