I love when Joey does games. Anime A-Z, Anime Openings, Real or Fake Anime, Anime Eyes Challenge, etc. They are all good, and he shines as a host.

I am constantly triggered by how many facts Joey gets wrong about manga though. In almost every single video he mentions manga and its magazines he gets the magazines wrong. He has less than 50% accuracy for crying out loud. For example in this video he says ToLOVEru Darkness is Jump+ (the online web magazine). It's not. It ran in Jump SQUARE, a seasonal sister magazine to Jump. And Rave wasn't on Champion, almost nothing popular is. It ran in Shonen Magazine, just like other Mashima works. In fact he does this a lot, mixing up Champion and Magazine, and almost every time he's said Champion in the past videos it was wrong. I know this is a nitpick to vast majority of viewers, but as a manga buff it triggers me lol.

fun fact: in NGNL, they did play othello. They were trying to get the elf chick's cooperation when fighting the furries, so they played othello where they bet each others' memories/existence, which is why Sora vanished for a while. But shiro won the game in the end and he returned. But the real fun facts is that: - Garnt doesn't remember the othello scenes, and says he knows best cuz he wrote NGNL Abridged. - Indeed, NGNL abridged doesn't include the othello scenes - BUT, the script of NGNL Abridged says: Shiro: Brother! You're back! Why did you disappear? Sora: I literally don't even remember! And neither does anyone watching this! So yeah, Garnt predicted the fact that he, and everyone else in the anime community, would forget the othello scene xD

It's also a HUGE moment of tension and unease and I'm honestly so confused they could forget about it. There are certain moments that stick out, like the reality word game or the big isekai/gaming thing at the end and the Othello moment is right up there for me.

Both the ghost peppers showed up in this episode and Calli talked about eating "home grown ghost pepper" from a friend happened very close together in time, so I was wondering if the friend is someone who knows both Calli and Trash Taste. Fun fact: so far the protagonist names of Hiro Mashima original works are related to the four seasons, with Natsu from Fairy Tail being Summer, Haru from Rave Master being Spring and Shiki from Eden's Zero literally means Four Seasons, which to Connor's credit, that name is being recycled from the protagonist of a Monster Hunter manga by the same author.

According to Garnt, Reki Kawahara wrote SAO when he was 15 years old. Boy, that would be a great revelation for anime community, knowing that they were hating on a work done by a 15 year old (FYI, the author was actually 26 at the time). Also, on 1:45:42, did Connor and Joey had a miscommunication? It sounds like Connor thought that Berserk was published on it's own and not in any magazine.

I mean even if it wasn't true for the SAO author, age does make a big difference when someone's telling a story. Eragon is a prime example. Dude was super young when he wrote that and you can absolutely feel it. That and his inexperience as a writer in general, I suppose. Shit, I mean the book's title is literally just Dragon, with the D shifted one letter to the right and the good king gets dethroned via kick to the nuts. LITERALLY. Even 26 seems a little young to think up a full separate universe with its own rules and a story that weaves inbetween those.

@@dowfreak7 It isn’t true for SAO author. Reki Kawahara is 48, first volume of SAO was published in 2002. Christopher Paolini is a prime example of nepotism. The only reason he was published is because his parents own a publishing house. I don’t know,Rebecca Kuang published Poppy War when she was in her early twenties. And, while I didn’t like the novel, I think the worldbuilding and story were alright. It’s the weak character writing and cheap anime-style tropes that made me drop the book.

I know that yellow was the king's favorite color (Thailand), so a lot of Thai people 'like' the color yellow cause it represents the royals' favorite color. That's probably why Garnt's mom dyed her walls yellow. Idk about the new king, but I'd assume he doesn't want to change the color. A lot of my Thai friends gave me lots of yellow tshirts that says we love our king in Thai and I still have them from years ago lol maybe over a decade 💛

White walls with one feature wall with a different colour that is in a pastel tone or a similar brightness is usually great. You can design around a theme but you muted neutral tones are also really nice.
