There is a song called “Diva Dance” from the movie The Fifth Element sung by an alien which was computer generated plus singing spliced together from several takes. It was supposed to be impossible for a human to sing but Dimash sang it live at a concert after already singing for a couple of hours straight like it was nothing. When you watch the theme song from the movie Endless Dimensions sung by Dimash notice his jacket there which he designed and had made to his specifications choosing the material, the buttons, even the exact flare of the sleeves. He is meticulous in all details of his singing and performances.

Isn't he awesome 🥰? SOS was the first performance of the China competition and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card. He also was the youngest in the history of this competition. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time. If you want to know a little more about Dimash, then I suggest you to watch the video from Opera 2 where his father was in the audience. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. As far as I know, he lived in one house with the whole family, grandparents, parents and a sister and brother and some relatives. And now he had to go to China alone, doesn’t know the country, doesn’t know the language and up until then he (almost) didn't speak any English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 19 so I can imagine…) And after that performance he saw his dad. Indescribably beautyful and emotional. During the Opera 2 performance, he flirted with the audience in a way that wasn’t really his style at the time (fortunately that has changed in the meantime). He has 10 more performances from this show available to watch! Watch 2nd, 3rd and so on. He was 22 years old then. He is now 28 and has done so many things since. He is a world renowned vocalist. You cannot call Dimash just a singer. He has an 8 octive range. You will see. Dimash has been known to sing in 12 different languages. Watch everything he has done. Dimash is 28 and has been in formal music training and education since age 5. He has multiple degrees in music including working on his PHD in Musicology. A lot of us more avid devotees (and there are MANY of us!) are flying into Kazakhstan from across all corners of the globe to see him live in his homeland next month on 23rd September - a much-awaited concert! To witness him on stage is the most extraordinary experience. It's electric. I believe that he is the most extraordinary artist we will ever witness, and I'm grateful to be here on this planet, right now, to experience this other-worldly phenomenon. All these comments probably sound pretty extra and out there, haha, but as a Dimash only comes around every thousand years or so, I'm off to Kazakhstan!
