A Weatherby vanguard deluxe in 270. If I could have one gun! I've been thinking of getting the same gun but having a hard time handing over that hefty price tag

A deer would of been in the next county by the time you got the shot off.

It has been my experience that at 400 yards ( the distance of the shot I made on an 8 inch round ) deer generally don’t see you, therefore they don’t run.

I purchased the rifle in 2017. I ordered it from Gallery of Guns. If memory serves I paid around $900. The optic was an additional $700. Thanks for watching.

How do I tell if mine is a deluxe? I bought it at an auction

Mine is actually stamped “Deluxe” on the barrel. The real tell tale feature is a high grade wood stock and deep luster blueing.

Weatherby only has 1 deluxe edition vanguard but if you wanna find out what weatherby you find just look on there website they got about 17 models of the vanguard all of them are easy to identify.
