The overreliance of analytics by the Blue Jays is why Vogelbach is staying for now. Vogelbach's advanced metrics make him look like a stud - .338 xwOBA, .260 xBA, .432 xSLG; and his exit velocity, hard hit, chase rate, whiff rate, and walk rate are all quite good. Expected numbers is one thing. Actual numbers are another. Analytics is ruining the Blue Jays.

When the story broke I had a look at the Dodgers top prospects on MLB, wasn't there. Checked the Jays top prospects, wasn't there. Looked on fangraphs. His FV is 35+. This is the Jays dumping Biggio's salary.

I'm really worried about Yariel Rodriguez in terms of moral character tbh. The west seems to be all about virtue signaling when it comes to hating on good moral people like harrison Butker telling people family is more important than materialistic and/or social status chasing behavior... But when it comes to people with actual moral character flaws, they seem to not care at all
