Jays rookies are now getting some playing time. They don’t look bad. Why panic? Seems back office already doing the panicking for us. Doesn’t Martinez even get a trial?

the decision making is incredibly incompetent. Bo and Vlad are epic disappointments. you can't build anything around either. look at it which ever way you want and it's broken. this team isn't much above A ball level in performance. it's not mlb caliber baseball. some people still seem to like Vlad. that amazes me. the big homer he hit last night is the outlier. his at bat in the 9th the night before is far and away the norm. his numbers for a 3 hitter who literally never misses games are embarrassing and would be topped by almost any other 3 hitter in baseball. when does he ever carry the team? he never does. how many of his few homers or rbis actually matter. plenty of garbage time hits in those low numbers. shushing the crowd and strutting after a meaningless late inning homer in New York? who does that? now remember how many times he doesn't run hard. how many times he's admired a double into a single thinking he has a homer. how many times he makes the same type baserunning mistakes. getting picked off to pretty much end last season in the most humiliating manner. I think he's the number 1 issue on this team and people are still caught up in the 80 hitting score prospect he was sold as. the rotation will age out before this lineup gets fixed. fire them all. trade them all. the most embarrassing era of Jays baseball ever.
@NotExplicable5 күн бұрын
you can still suck and get better with a Blue chip players just ask the Angels every year and Red Sox's last year and Mullins on the O's. You need those good vets when they mature to carry the next generation, it's sad Gurriel/Teo got traded they were affordable bridge players you could keep on DH rotation with some versatility Gurriel at 1B/LF/3B
@NotExplicable5 күн бұрын
the Bullpen is the worst thing about this team we lost at least 7-12 games. Vladdy and Bo are still young and learning how to carry without lineup protection, is a different mentality.

@markryan37395 күн бұрын
If the Yankees sign him to a decade long contract jays fans can enjoy Vlad pummeling the baseball for 10 years in the Rogers Center. Trading Vlad to the Yankees would be the height of incompetence. Some posters have said the Jays have hit rock bottom. Think about Vlad hurting the Jays for the length of the contract.

1) do they not test at all in the minors? why do so many players test positive shortly after call up? 2) if sticky substances are so powerful and effective why are the suspensions for using it not on par with ped suspensions? Seems kinda whack to me
@Dulcimerist5 күн бұрын
Sticky stuff they have on only affects the current game. The use of PEDs have lasting effects/benefits to the body, which affects many games - even after they stop using.

Scotts touching on something here with Berroa not getting minutes, not giving the kid time to see what opposing pitchers are like in this stint is fucking criminal. Springer is the worst hitter in the league this year. It doesnt harm Springer to sit out s gsme or 2 in a cold streak, but denying Berroa ABs does stunt his development. Like you said, Berroas not your savior here but the point is to a) give him a push in the right direction and b) evaluate what the kids got to see if he is worth saving a spot on the roster for in the future. We are so mismanaged its borderline criminal.

A 22-year-old guy is actually trying to get his girlfriend pregnant? The premise behind the excuse sounds a bit far-fetched. Interestingly enough, one of the more common reasons for male fertility issues at his age is steroid use. The type of drug he tested positive for helps to mitigate the testicular atrophy and fertility issues that come along with long-term steroid use.
