Welcome to my latest weekly grocery haul for my family of 13, including pantry tour. We're stocked up to feed this tribe for the week ahead, so come along to see the items purchased to feed my large family for one week. This shopping haul consists of the ingredients to feed 13 people all meals and snacks for one week (every meal made at home). Most people in my household have a varied diet, though my husband and I currently eat very low carb, which is reflected in the extra meat purchased. Yes, it works out a little dearer, but we consider it an investment in our health and this way of eating is what works for us. Prices have certainly increased in recent times, as you're all aware. Things we do to help keep our grocery budget in check include: purchasing fruit and vegetables that are in season, and working around them; having take away only rarely; shopping the half-price deals, buying home brand items, and buying cuts of meat that are a better deal than others. My family still enjoy weekend treats, but I purchase based on half-price sales for those non-essential items.
Price breakdown for one week, 13 people:
Woolworths Australia $462.60AU (after $50 Woolworths Rewards Extra discount)
Coles Australia $298.52AU
Total: $761.12AU ($497.55US/ £397.69GBP/ $679.39CAD)
