Leon Farrell Daredevil is my personal favorite (Peaky Blinders is better but I enjoy daredevil more just because of the cool comic book nostalgia)

AWarmNoodle I really love the fighr scenes. As they were shot very well. As it had more of a martial arts cinematography feel to it. With a lot of long shots and very few cuts. Where a lot of American action scenes will have way to many cuts. Like one of my all time favorite movie scenes is the hallway fight scene from Old Boy. Just because its all done in one shot.

In the Vietnam era, the American army was very accepting of anyone willing to join. If I have the story correct, it's how my friend's dad got his citizenship. He went to the recruiting station and they were like, "We only accept American citizens. Are you one?" And he was like, "Uhh.. Yup." "Great, you're in!"

I think Solo is one of the most engaging movies out of the newer Star Wars movies. I don't really get the hate it has got. One thing: Chewbacca's actor Geutem Scrumblebad is Finnish, not German.

clariola Yea he would. Some other random actors I think could do it. Are possible Christian Bale that would be my risky choice. But if he went all in with it I think he could do a great job. Then like they suggested Benedict Cumberbatch would be the safe choice. As he does a great job as Sherlock and Thrawn is basically the equivalent of that as a military strategist. Then also Tom Hiddleston would be someone else I think could really pull off Thrawn.

I loved Solo! I laughed at all the humor and enjoyed everything in the film. It actually felt like a Star Wars film instead of a caricature like tlj. I also really loved Alden as Han and his relationship with Qi'ra.

Maul showing up makes perfect sense. In the clone wars era he was over the crime syndicates such as the black sun. It makes sense he would still be running some of these at the time of Solo. I loved this cameo. LOVED it!

I really enjoyed Solo and went in with neither high or low expectations. I knew if it were unwatchable, it's because the production was a mess, but that was NOT the case. James and SOOO MANY other Tubers are dismissive of the movie and say "that"s not" and "this was" but without supporting information as to why or why something is not "right" because in relation to some source material. GREAT MOVIE, give Ron Howard the Marvel X-Men or Fantastic Four PLEEEEEEASE!

rushaholic Really the only animated comedy series I have enjoyed more then it has been Rick & Morty. But that maybe just due to it being a newer series which is fresher in my mind. Other then that I would take Futurama over anything else such as The Simpson's and espiecally Family Guy.

James....the naming scene was an analogy to how refugees came to the US via Easter Island in NY; they were given TOTALLY made up names in THAT EXACT FASHION, so it resonates/makes sense from a US perspective straight away. That was very appropriate handling on the naming.

Detroit was one of the best games i have ever played, i played heavy rain and that ellen page one, and thought they were fine, but Detroit totally evolved the decision making genre, 2 of my friends played the game when i did and we all got totally different scenes/endings. I'd highly recommend it, but i also like Solo so that probably says something

Watching this in 2021, it's amazing to me how much of the stories in the news section are fake.Thrawne being in Ep 8. James Mangold directing a Boba Fett spin-off. Jessica Drew and Adrian Toomes being in the Homecoming sequel. Almost all of them. I wonder who their source was at the time. We got this covered?

Not necessarily fake, these were all rumours that were doing the rounds then: Obi and Boba being movies, a big bad was to return in TROS (fans love Thrawn, so that was an easy guess). Lots of these rumours aren't based on anything real, but on what some people want.

12:37 Spectre was... weird. The first half was INCREDIBLE, but it just got dumb towards the end. I feel like they thought Blofeld would carry more weight just by virtue of being Blofeld, so they didn't put enough effort into developing him and his story. But the opening sequence of that movie could very well be the best in the series.

Well I think this is a setup for a maul v obi wan in the kenobi movie. Now idk if their just going to go over what happened in rebels and finish it that way or it’s a different story their going with something new and Han and fett will be on Tatooine at this time so these three anthology stories I’d imagine are all intertwined

Matthew Thomas Lombardo I really enjoyed it. But I can see where others didn't as much. As a lot of episodes didn't have much weight to them and really had no impact on the main plot for the seasons. But still they did have some great moments. Such as all the Maul episodes. Espiecally his showdown with Obi Wan. I liked Thrawn and felt everything he did made sense. As the only reason he kept letting them go. Was because it was only the crew of the Ghost. And he wanted to find thr location of the main rebel base. And he stood a much better chance at doing that by having them lead him to it. Which is exactly what happens. And he was only ever defeated due to unforseen things. Like they would have been fucked if it wasn't for Bendu. No way Thrawn could have expected any of that. And even then he would have had them due to the blockade but forget the officers name but he wanted the fame and glory for himself and compromised the blockade. And then they would have been screwed in the final episode if it wasn't for the space whales. And I for my money Rebels had the most emotional and impactful death in the entire franchise for me. With Kanan.

I'm with Mason on Solo and also agree Solo was "just a movie." I think Star Wars needs more movies that are "just a movie" and maybe fans will eventually chill the fuck out. (Except if they go after KotOR, in which case it best be perfect damnit!)

I know I'm late to the party, but I have a fan theory about Avengers 4: I think it would be really cool if they managed to do a soft adaptation of the new Thanos run, but instead of having a million-year-old Thanos ask the younger for help killing everything have him sorta warn Thanos that he made the wrong decision maybe? I don't know if that will ever come close to happening, but it might be cool maybe perhaps?

Solo was alright, only thing was that I feel it was too much we gotta plug the jub jub into the beep boop and it’ll make the hippidity hoop bop bop. It took away from Han’s natural skill, sure most of the time he comes up with the plan but there’s just too much of luck imo. Other than that, when Han was drifting and being nifty on the falcon I thought was pretty badass

Joshua Yee Well here's how I see it, Han has always said the Falcon made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs, so I think it's a combination of both the ship being amazing and Han being skilled and daring enough to use the ship.

1:19:00 That's the problem with adding all the characters after the fact, bringing back Maul, the Emperor's clone/returning, adding Ahsoka. There is no mention of them in any part of the main world yet we are meant to believe the are constant players this entire time. Big players, except there is always some reason they are not actually a part of the biggest things going on in the galaxy. Ahsoka is just a normal Jedi who was dressed for getting young boys. It's okay, it's what Marvel did and look at TMNT and Transformers, they are terrible shows in reality. But it's okay to like them, just know it's not really anything special beyond that it's the same outlook we all have growing up and that we share that is special.

*SPOILERS* I don't think they will do this, but they could totally just ignore Rebels' Maul Story/Retell it slightly. Go back to the way they used to have canon in tiers. Everything in the movies overwrites everything else, anything in the TV shows overwrites anything else other than the movies, books overwrite everything except TV shows and Movies, etc. They sort of already did overwrite rebels in this movie because Kessel was in Rebels and there was no "Akkadese Maelstrom" or "Maw" in the show. Rebels also had stormtroopers overseeing everything, wherein this movie there were just weird lookin dudes.
