I remember when this was played on MTV almost every morning during 2006 (having a top comment on a weezer video is the greatest accomplishment of my time here on the internet, thank you ❤)

I was at a concert last year and weezer played this song, and on his way around the audience with the S.S Weezer© i shot my fist up in the air in amazement, and rivers looked at me, and did the same, best moment in my life

knowing Rivers has a loving family and is no longer lonely makes this song even better for me cus it means it has a happy ending. He wasn't lonely for the rest of his days on the earth

In many ways, this is one of Weezer's best songs. Something about the guitar triggers feelings of loneliness. Even if there were no vocals you'd still know what the song was about

I was at a concert in St. Augustine. They were throwing frisbees in the crowd for some reason. During this song, a frisbee went right towards the drummer. He caught it, put it in his teeth, and continued playing. Most epic this I've ever seen.

This song came out when I was in 5th grade. That year I was told by almost all the girls in my class that I was ugly so this was my anthem.

The way I interpret this song is that at the beginning it's hard to tell who's show it is as they were both on the mic. Then it's clear that it's her show and that he's the one chasing her, feeling worried about not being enough for her. It's when she locks her self away that he takes it into his own hands to become the star of the show and that's when he's finally enough for her, as she comes out from being locked away to go to him. Focus on yourself and good things will come your way.

The guitar solo from this was one of my favorite scenes from high school. Great band, great music.

This was my first Weezer song. I saw it when my 9th grade homeroom was allowed to put on MTV to pass the time. And this song came on. I loved it. Weezer quickly became my favorite band.

I find this music video and song inspiring. I like how by the end of the mv, the guy (real lead singer of Weezer) sings his heart out and is later recognized instead of continuing living under the shadows the leading girl in the mv. The lead girl singer obviously had charisma in her video, but she didn't felt genuine. The guy's (real lead singer of Weezer) performance in the mv felt sincere and real. Characters like him should be recognized instead of inconsiderate and vain people that believe fame comes from being mean and above others. Weezer is a great band! First song I ever listened to by them.

An anxious kid lack of confidence, girls are not an easy deal for him and when he finally gets somebody that he likes and she likes him back then he thinks he's not good enough for her and as a consequence he ends up losing her, he also doesn't appreciates her being with other guys but he just can't do anything for his lack of confidence, great song

Back in 2005 or 2006 or so, I remember seeing this music video. And now, this year, I finally found it, a decade later. :)

I don't know why, but this version always bugged me. The intro was longer on the album... the chorus was a teensy bit different... I just love the intro so much, and it's such a pity (pun intended) that they shortened it for the video/radio release

I remember being 5 or 6 when I saw this video on MTV. I used to watch MTV (Remember that show, 'Next'?) with my sister (which is odd, as I now despise MTV.) And I saw this and thought it was a legitimate documentary. 9 years later, I finally found it.

16 years and it still brings me back to when times were simpler.
