When it’s cold it leaks and as it hears it expands causing the gasket to seal better I bet!

Omg, my parents house have this exact boiler and it was installed in oct. Of 2018. Now i have to keep and eye on it.thank you for posting this video.keep us posted what the homeowner planing on doing to this boiler.

Since Weil-McLain warranties the heat exchanger for 20 years if one is leaking do they just supply a whole new boiler or do you have to take the thing apart and rebuild it? Great video!

I replaced an aluminum heat exchanger on Lennox boiler made by dunkirk this summer. Giant PITA! It cracked a few months before warranty ran out. I always tell the new guys can you imagine driving around getting paid to do this stuff?

Carrier had the same boiler the bw9 and I have replaced a few heat exchangers in those. They crack down at the bottom. The aluminum block can't handle the expansion and contraction and is probably the 1 of the worst designed boilers ever. Thanks for watching

Trying to finish up a boiler for a car wash for floor heating. Weil and it's a big pita. Bad gas valve and came with 3 bad burners. Startup is tomorrow 😆
