Warsaw is definitely one of the most modern cities in Europe right now. It's crazy how Poland has changed in last 20 years.

so lovely! I went to Poland last year. I visited Krakow and Wroclaw and it was amazing. Beautiful cities and I was shocked how digitalized public space was there. People were so accommodating and kind. I had the most wonderful time in Poland and cant wait to go back!

Another suggestion: when shopping in Warsaw, ask about "bielizna zimowa" (winter undergarment) or "bielizna termiczna" (thermal undergarment). You may be able to get a military-grade warm undergarment which will keep you really comfortable.

Hey, youtube recommended me this video out of the blue - glad to see you enjoying your time in my home town! :> Just a little tip from a local about one specific underground route - at 24:00 you're walking up and out of Warszawa Śródmieście, when you could've gone deeper down! There's another staircase (right next to the one you're using) leading downwards to the Warsaw Central Station, which Złote Tarasy is connected to by an underground pathway! It's a bit confusing at first since it leads you out onto a train platform, but just try and make your way to the main hall while looking out for signs overhead pointing you in the right direction - you'll get to Złote while avoiding the weather! Cheers from Kabaty!

On the parallel street (Grzybowska Street) there is the Browary Warszawskie complex. It is a similar place to the Norblin Factory. Robert Lewandowski has his restaurant there. These old tenement houses are the subject of a fight between several circles. The investor had to protect them. Disputes about their future continue.

About locals eating in bar mleczny... Well idk, I didn't when I worked in that very neighborhood. But near Emilii Plater street, there used to be a nice lunch place called Nasze Miejsce(Our Place) and they served polish dishes too I think.

Regarding menu written in Ukrainian language we never had this before. Only after the war started and and we hosted our Ukrainian brothers this alphabet appeared in our every day life. I believe it is done just to make Ukrainians feel more like home and I think it is ok:)

It's no longer winter or a typical winter. There is semi-wintery weather once in a few days, which is typical for March, but it's getting warmer and warmer. There are a lot of spring flowers starting to show up each day. Astronomically it's winter, but meteorologically it's already spring in Poland and temperatures are also more leaning toward spring. Each day you get temperatures above zero. It's not full-blown spring (which comes at the end of March and in April, depending on region) yet, because there are still many accents of winter. That is why March is called pre-spring in Poland. Not winter but also not typically spring. April is the most colorful month, with fresh green. March is still very bleak, but here and there signs of spring show up if you know where to look at. March is known from a crazy weather, from winter to summer. It can happen that you get -20 or +20 in March in some years.

To be honest, it is better when there is snow and temperature slightly below 0 degree Celsius. That wet, cold weather is the worst. But it is only like that for 180 days a year :). And you wonder why we don't smile that much.
