Western Legends is also my favorite game of all time. Most definitely add all expansions in together to get best experience. I wish player turns were quicker to reduce downtime in the larger play groups because that is where this game shines. There is one game that is challenging WL for #1 though as of lately, and that is Dead Reckoning. Maybe the WL Big Box will make sure it doesn’t get dethroned.

Love the game, love the mini expansions, but Ante Up wrecked it. Everything was wrong about it, I don't think Hervé was the lead designer on that. The map spaces were off, the events were redundant, the outlaws and longhorns bland, the train a huge drag to push around every turn. But I am glad Blood Money has a video review as I couldn't find any! Nice job, again

Technically there is also the single character and item mini expansion with the recent Big Box kickstarter. Aaron Johnson, cool one :)

I am curious as to what cannot be used if you just have base WL in the Blood Money expansion… because you sure are getting me interested!

BM says at the start of the manual that it is not a standalone, and requires AU and the base. I would not recommend Blood Money without Ante Up.

All this review did was amp my need to get this game played! lol :-) I got this expansion from its Kickstarter and STILL haven't gotten it played! I must fix this!

What is the name of the sandbox game that you mention in the intro? "Zire"? Or how it is spelled? The first sandbox game that comes to my mind will always be Mage Knight, btw

The way deeds work is a pain. We put the token out on the board when the deed is bought and not the reverse. It is too much setup to put those things everywhere.
