someone said that stedes falling in love montage was full of different moments throughout the season. while Eds monologue was just one memory, the “you wear fine things well” moment. which was the moment he fell all at once…. *sobs*

I loved your reaction! Stede saying, "Now that's a fuckery" is one of my favorite line deliveries of the entire series. Hilarious. And oof, as others have said, the wait for the s2 renewal and then the long hiatus was a lot. I cant imagine just being able to go straight from s1 to s2

I think my favorite moment of season 1 is the scene between Mary and Stede on the bed, where he just casually "comes out" to her..."His name is Ed". And she just smiles and hugs him. 🥰 It is such a Great Representation for Anyone as to How to react when someone tell you their truth.

I love how they made Mary a sympathetic character - it would have been so easy to write her off as hateful, but she was as imprisoned in that marriage as Stede was. Honestly the show does a great job of making clear that the true villains are the people upholding oppression and no one is irredeemable unless they choose not to be redeemed. The character depth is incredible

Thank you a lot about saying that it's Ed realizing he needs to be Blackbeard again. A lot of people are using this scene to hate on Izzy because "eueueu he made Ed evil again" like no, Ed is his own person with his own (bad) decisions :( Izzy fails to communicate properly, yes, but he's trying to protect Ed (and unfortunately in his head being a ruthless pirate is the only way to do it) This all until S2 at least ":)

No spoilers, but something to keep in the back of your mind as you watch s2: 90% of my (and a lot of people's) significant problems with the season were down to Max screwing over their budget and allegedly meddling with the scripts a bit too. Almost all of the season's issues would've been solved if the writers had had more time and money to work with, but they did a remarkable job given the circumstances.
