Late at night in the kitchen, Daphne (Amanda Bynes) and Henry (Colin Firth) bond over chocolate cereal.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Loosely based on the 1958 comedy The Reluctant Debutante starring Sandra Dee, the family-friendly comedy What a Girl Wants features popular Nickelodeon teen star Amanda Bynes in her first feature-starring performance after her debut in Big Fat Liar. She plays teenager Daphne Reynolds, who lives in New York City with her musician mother, Libby (Kelly Preston). After she turns 17, Daphne is undecided about her future, so she takes off by herself to London in search of her father. She immediately meets cute musician Ian (Oliver James) before sneaking in to her father's estate to surprise him. He turns out to be Lord Henry Dashwood (Colin Firth), a fabulously wealthy aristocrat who doesn't even know that she exists. He had met her mother in Morocco and the two were married in a tribal ceremony. Upon their return to England, she left him and went back to the U.S. without ever revealing that she was pregnant. The uptight Henry is already flustered by his campaign for election, advised by doting aide Alistair Payne (Jonathan Pryce). His no-nonsense fianc

@@spacelinx yea was going to say this..... if u've ever been a father to a young girl... its our duty to spoil them for all other men setting the bar so high that they require the same or better from their eventual suiters... the love between a father and daughter ... even if she is adopted or product of another... the moment she becomes your responsibility and looks to you as her first love... it becomes paramount to both of u not to let her down... and to make it hard for any young man to fill your shoes... the one that manages to achieve all that is the only one worthy enuff to pass her hand onto....

This is again one of my favorite scenes again. Its due to me remembering my child hood cereal Coco Puffs. Which was my favorite sugar cereals. Well, alright, one of my top fave cereals. And I now really loved how Amanda interacted with Colin in one of these iconic parts.

I used to love this movie when I was a child. Then after a few years I watched it again and I felt uncomfortable, because I realised there's a sexual tension between Colin and Amanda (and I'm not the only one who noticed), especially in this scene and it makes the father/daughter storyline really weird.
