10 is a seriously underrated movie. super intense acting from John Goodman.

The two films are in different timelines, but, with the space crew in God Particle running into their doppelgangers, it's possible the alternate universes will collide and the Cloververse will become more directly connected.

I have not seen a single clover in any of these movies? I watched these specifically exspectiong these modest plants to finally be given the spotlight they deserve and they don't even get a mention, the grass gets more screen time and it's utterly fucking disgraceful. I'm calling false advertisement and terrorism on part of this franchise.

I was under the impression that the Cloverfield monsters were related to the Cthulhu by H.P. Lovecraft. The origins of these monsters sound almost identical to each other. Both being outcast by there respective worlds and both living at the bottom of the sea for thousands of years. Also, the actor John Goodman just happens to have characters who each work for companies who have something to do with kiju. It sounds to me like the movie companies are trying to link the Godzilla and Cthulhu universes together somehow. Just a theory of mine.

Good guesses, but as it turns out all of this was caused by an outer space experiment that could have solved the energy crisis but instead Twisted the space-time continuum, causing multiple different realities of Earth to merge with monsters from different dimensions or universes, which introduced the Cloverfield monster to one version of Earth leading to the events of the Cloverfield movie, and aliens to another leading to the events of 10 Cloverfield Lane.

I loved both of these movies despite them being so different from each other. I hope we get another one that seemingly has nothing to do with either of these and turns out related by the end. Maybe they can do a western style movie, or a World War II movie, or how about a horror/slasher type movie next? Just FYI, a good example of a "teenagers in the woods" slasher movie with an alien twist was a movie from a couple years ago called Extraterrestrial. It was far from perfect, kinda cheesy, but I think it was highly under-rated and I always tell people to check it out.

The more popular theory is as follows: The main company Tagruato discovers the Clover egg(s) or body at the bottom of the ocean during a scan and proceed to build an oil rig right on top of him to experiment on him. There they discover the ocean goo which has regenerative properties, the goo which nurtures the baby Clover for eons. During their experiments, Clover wakes up and destroys the oil rig. This actually happens a couple of days before the satellite falls which means the satellite has nothing to do with Clover for now. The rig accident and the satellite crash info can be found in their webpage and others more. There are many videos online with the timelines and sources. Clover then proceeds to attack NY while confused and is attacked and presumably killed. Lane would then come into effect as it is retaliation from an alien species at having one of their babies killed. This alien civilisation came to Earth eons ago and planted their eggs on Earth's ocean. The whole planet is basically the Clover's nest. When their child is destroyed, which they can see through the Black Knight alien satellite they left behind to monitor Clover, they proceed to attack the Earth. Of course they cannot come immediately, which is why Lane takes place about 8 years later. HOWEVER, we still don't know how any of these stories have to do with God Particle which is about a couple of astronauts in outer space who are left behind after a hydron collider experiment seems to suck Earth into nothingness. O.o

Does anyone find it odd that aliens usually fit one of two categories 1) weird looking animal creatures that can build starships and travel the universe but can never manage to create clothes 2) Aliens that are humanoid and always go to the same tailor that really seems to like leather, large shoulder pads and or a giant V on the torso

The head and neck reminds me of the leeches in the canyon scene in the Jack Black King Kong

The aliens and the monster have nothing to do with each other in my opinion. I believe each movie is from an alternate universe all connected from the Shepard Hydron Collider incident in the Cloverfield Paradox. If you pay attention to the movies there are the same actors in each movie as the same characters. I believe they are different iterations of the same person from different universes.

The aliens actually look a bit like the clover field monster

Whenever i see clover, it reminds of him saying "Hail the Ghidorahs!" In a dark voice. Only MIB fans know this!

I think the aliens we see are just the attack dogs due to them being quadrapedial making it hard to build spaceships so we could have other aliens to deal with

Although I do enjoy these "explained" videos, this is one of the only ones where I actually feel like it has been explained to me. I never picked up on the connection to him working with satellites and his space-worm theory.

All 3 movies are badass , I like the fact they relate to each other in different universes...They should keep making more movies like this to keep you guessing and have people to talk about... It's fun, it's like you're trying to solve a puzzle between movies 😉👍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

10 Cloverfield Lane is one of my absolute favorite movies. I think mostly because i wasn't really aware that it was a sequel. The suspense was soooooo good too

Have they been doing an ARG for God Particle? I haven't heard anything about it since February.

I get that a stand alone movie was given a divergent not quite sequel that was cribbed from another script that did and could stand alone as a bottle thriller. Yes the monster from Cloverfield could be something alien to the planet or a mutated deep sea creature or slusho's ingredient nectar could be an alien substance that impacted either. But, has nine years passed and why would alien invasion be such a hard acceptance if New York got it's head handed to them in the same country or multiverse planet. Writers.

A common theory is that the Particle accelerator in God Particle (rumored to be renamed Cloverfield Station and is being bought by Netflix) will open a wormhole by the end of the movie which causes a piece of the possibly destroyed station to land in the water and wake up the creature (so we could maybe see like a wormhole in the background open a piece fly through it, perhaps a scene that flashes between a camera speeding into the water and the red beam that was talked about in cloverfield lane hitting the ground at the very end of the movie or like an after credits scene) while also being a prequel to cloverfield lane, all time differences could be attributed to the wormhole which would explain the different universes and time shit

So from this we know what Goodman's character did and how and importantly why. An a few ideas on why there's aliens in the sequel unless that's unrelated, we're wrong and the monster from first was actually dropped there by aliens at some point soon enough to trigger the first film. Dunno about anyone else but surely there's a reason at least 1 if not both the others was there. Maybe she was related to or dating someone from the conpany. Or she was working herself for them or something. We never find out her back story except she seems well enough and was with someone. An what's with other guy. he's connected to John's character somehow or he'd not been in a position to wind up staying for the movie

i think its more of a possibility that the cloverfield movies were meant to meld together a lot better (given the crashing object at the end of the first movie and end of the third movie) but were all directed by different directors, creating different monsters and including aliens

I saw in another video that of a possible scenario, that Tagruato Corperation is holding a grudge from losing WWII and they are doing these experiments and opening door ways to other universes. look at the Tagruato logo, I looks like the War flag of the Imperial Japanese Army.

we all know that these two films are set in separate worlds, as much as I would love a world of all types of ghouls and monsters Cloverfield can expand because it's contained to New York you just change the setting but with Lane the planet is practically conquered or dead there's no way to reference that without overshadowing what ever ghouls you choose to follow for that movie.

I would say that the movies are not chronologically connected. . but they could be connected ( Clover and the Aliens) but the movies are likely like alternative universes

The best way to look at these movies is like the twilight zone (tv show) the only thing that really linked them together was there were under the same name n the host was always the same but other then that they were in there own universes but like JJ Abrams said before clover field lane came out is that this is a "blood relative" not exactly a sequel

I think the origin of the monster / aliens changes with each iteration of the movie. In the first movie Clover was hibernating underwater and was awoken by the Satellite / Humans / Etc. 10 Cloverfield Lane had the aliens invade earth, The Paradox had them transfer to a different reality and the monsters came through that way. I don't believe that everything is connected, I'd like to think that its a similar horror monster just with different stories and origins each time.

I thought that the creator of the original film already had given his or her very loose explanation of the alien? He said it was an alien that somehow got lost on Earth, and that it wasn't an intentional attack. He also said the alien may even belong to someone or something. And anyways, since it got lost on Earth it got afraid and was going into a defensive mode. And those giant insect-like things in the first movie were said to be the equivalent of alien fleas it carries.

Coverfield and Coverfield Lane were both two different alternative realities. JJ Abrams stated that he put cloverfield name on 10 Colverfield Lane to get more attention. I don't think the theory that the aliens used the satellite as a wake up since they both are in different realities

The two movies may share similar names but they are not in the same universe the creators even said that at the current moment they are " separate entities"

And to think all of this happened cause in one universe, people didn't built their space machine right and caused many dimensions to merge together and cause the apocalypse in lots of them

I think that there might be a mistake in assuming that the aliens wanted to wake up Clover. Despite causing heavy damage, I don't Clover makes sense as a first wave for attacks. Along with the time between movies, I think that the aliens are a reactionary force, humans woke the baby and killed it, so parents sent in pest extermination. Clover also had a bunch of smaller creatures, the parasites that I think we're akin to nannies in creating the baby food. I think it can be assumed that the alien force use organic parts for machines like the ship, which we might not be sure how much the aliens we saw could be akin to cogs in a machine. Which is what I kind of theorize we saw, or at least I think they are lower than the big ones in hierarchy.

A possible theory that connects Paradox to the other movies is that maybe when the humans start winning the war against the aliens, the aliens make one last strike by placing a large amount of these monsters in numerous places around the world (where they couldn't be found) to all wake up at a certain time and unleash havoc on the earth. And while the Shepard is gone, the timer the aliens put on the monsters ends which explains why there's a monster in Britain and on the delaware coast.

Both movies are part of the Half-Life universe. You heard it here first.

10 cloverfield lane was a movie that i was expecting aliens, i´ve got an amazing thriller and ended with half life

I enjoy cloverfeild and 10 clovefeild lane. But I hate paradox. I can only enjoy 10 lane though if I treat it as a separate thing.

Last year this was a good theory. The 3rd movie explains what happens and how the "invasion" happens. All good movies though.

Better theory I heard this from someone else but the drilling rigs are what woke it up. They found the egg and were drilling into it to do experiments and something. And that's why the rig exploded

If these movies, and the one coming out later, are at all connected, Abrams needs to do a better job pointing that out. I had zero clue that 10CL was supposed to be connected, and therefor have never seen it.
