Yeah. That's a lot of "clams" but, your "condomaran" has some pretty Cadilac (or Tesla) sizzle features that likely makes it one of a kind in this catagory. You guys did an awesome job. incidentally, Ty, don't apologize for or feel the need to eliminate the "boring how-to videos". As a nerdgineer (nerd + engineer = nerdgineer) boat owner with some pretty champaign visions, I find them both entertaining and helpful.

End of the day, it’s priced like most move in ready homes in this country. And, making some assumptions here.....it’s paid for, meaning nothings been financed. It’s your home, you built it for you and yours. Like any home it will require up keep and maintenance. Smart and skilled people! I’m sure that even with your “carrying costs” it is 100% worth it. Happy for you all and though it may be a sin....envious. 😁

Hi guys have watched all your videos and enjoyed them all, I was surprised that you eliminated the generator, if you where caught in a major storm on an ocean crossing and lost your solar panels you could be weeks from anywhere, how would you charge your batteries, I suppose a 2 or 3 kilowatt portable generator would be a back up. I wish you safe travels and will be with you guys every week. Dauntless looks fantastic. Have been watching the crew from Parley as well. Good luck.

I've been loving watching all of your videos! Quick question on the Tesla batteries. Are you guys worried at all about having no warranty on those? I know typically when you purchase from a company directly there will be a 10 year warranty and sometimes lifetime warranty. Would be keen to hear about your thought process on that. Thanks again for these videos!

No warranty, replacement cost vs average lifespan of 20+ years means its a nominal expense. They work awesome!

Thanks for the update! Those are some scary numbers considering I pay less than 4K per year for a covered 60' slip where I'm at... BTW I installed a Cerbo, let me know if you have any questions. One question I have is, how do you handle your shore power going into your 230 volt inverter as every thing here in the states is 120v or 240v split phase. I ended up going with 2-48v inverters wired for split phase. Great content thank you!

It is a Beautiful boat. So what is the grand total including the cost of the boat?
@atlanticocean6403 жыл бұрын
I don’t get the insurance deal. I’m not a pleasure boater, but have a commercial boat just rebuilt it like you guys did and my insurance made me insure it for replacement cost. 750,000. No matter where I go in the states or other countries, 1,000,000 in crew coverage, oil spill coverage. I pay 11,000 a year. I feel insurance companies down there are kind of shady.
@SailingDauntless3 жыл бұрын
Pleasure boating in the hurricane zone can is expensive when it comes to insurance. 750k would run between 18-25k per year. Ouch

Q: #1: Did you have to take out any loans or did you have savings? #2: If you have loans, how much do you pay back a month and for how long do you expect to repay the debt?
@robweinstein3 жыл бұрын
May I suggest you find a free mortgage calculator online if you’re thinking about loans and assume it’s a 30 year mortgage on a $450k house. Obviously every situation is different but if you want a vague ballpark answer, that’ll get you there.
