Quotes directly from the source material is always a good thing. I also love hearing what the reader gets out of it himself. Many people can read something and enterperate it a totally different way. In the case of your videos... your opinion is greatly appreciated.

"I see you!" I am quite fond of the quotes; they give greater insight into the lore and the topics being covered. There's a reason your channel has grown so quickly and continues to grow. Of course, keep your ear to the ground in regards to what your viewers would like to see but there's no need to second guess your style, given the success it has brought your channel.

I like your videos that are heavy with direct readings from the books. It makes it easy to follow and you can’t really misquote or change anything or forget exactly what was written if it’s a direct quote. I love you videos. Keep doing what you do.

I see you! 👀 Also, I like the quotes from the lore, because it reinforces the information that you present. Actually, it is for this reason that I subscribed to your channel and watched many of your videos. You aren't as much into hypotheses and speculations and when you present them, it is always done within the context of actual passages, notes, and other writings of the man himself (or his son).

If I may suggest my friend, in response to your query to us as to whether we wish more quotes or narrative, why not both? By that I mean, I think you providing direct quotes from Tolkien himself within the structure of your vids, provides them just that more weight and dare i say, moral authority regarding each subject. That said, I think we also greatly benefit from you providing your own interpretive thoughts on each matter as well, since you have quite obviously through your research and studies of the great man's works, gained a fair amount of perspective, that we enjoy you sharing with us. So if your vids grow in length by a few minutes to accommodate both, I doubt you will hear any complaints. :)

It's well known that Saruman was into 'ring-making' and more than dabbled in 'Orc-husbandry'. So presumably he had some kind of workshop/lab. I find myself disappointed there's never any mention of what he had on the bench and the drawing board. Doubtless it would be unsavoury, to say the least, but who wouldn't want to know what else he had up his voluminous polychromatic sleeves

I do imagine that the ROP show will spark some degree of interest in the legendarium and Canon lore; passages can bring clearer context for both new fans/viewers as well as fans who are beginning to or casually exploring the other Middle Earth stories aside from the books and/or movies. Edit add: I also notice through the comments that your videos spark some incredible questions and theories. Love your content!!

@@railerswim I feel you. I was introduced to ME by the '78 animated The Hobbit when I was 4 or 5. Watching my nephew one afternoon, I put it on and he watched it 3x's in one afternoon. He's 8 now, read The Hobbit and can't wait until I give the 👍 he's at a comprehension level to be set free into LOTR. That's a seed planted. He watches lore videos because he's fascinated and it keeps him engaged. I have questions at least 6x/wk from him. Definitely not a family of Shills. Middle Earth has been my lifelong passion and "geek". I hold hope for all, even shills, that real, genuine love and want for the OG's works as they've been written can come. Woke & shillsters are getting called to a point where hopefully someone will decide to research their 💩

If anything remained unfound after Saruman’s death it would be his RING. Saruman actually made his own Sauron-like ring, and I’d bet dollars to donuts he put his own power into it just like Sauron did. They were both Maia of Aulë, of course. Maybe the ring stayed on Saruman’s body, but more likely he threw it into another stream before escaping, knowing that he too would remain alive after death like Sauron and could in time return to wreak havoc. Saruman always had an ace up his sleeve, thinking ahead of everybody else. He’ll be a new dark lord one day.

They may have found relics of the Blue Wizards. It is possible they perished, not given a second chance as they lost their way and Saruman came across their artifacts. If Saruman can track a body long lost down a river, its not far fetched he also had relics of the blue duo and Aragorn would have info of their existence given his long time with Gandalf.

Stop asking if we want this or that or like some forms of delivery. It screams of someone not confident in their own work and not justifiably. You do a great job. By asking this criticisms to your audience, that I’m sure you ask yourself, you invite them to subconsciously come at your work from a place of criticism. Do it Bc you want to do it. Do it well, but do it how you want to do it.
