I heard that the developers mentioned that in the theoretical sequel he'd have been made chapter master of his own chapter. On account of his warp resistance they made an offshoot chapter for him.

The devs said that they had planned to have Titus go renegade and eventually come to found his own chapter. Man, I wish sequels had been made.

I think we badly need a follow-up on "Space Marine", since a sequal was already planned but THQ went under so it never saw the light of day.

Everyone always asks "What happened to Captain Titus?" but noone ever asks "What could've possibly have happened to Leandros?" because that one definitely deserved some kind of punishment considering that he basically betrayed his own chapter by involving the inquisition directly despite being of no rank to do that.

Actually this was answered in a way by the Game Director for Space Marine way back in 2013 -- According to Game Director Raphael van Lierop, the plan was to make a Space Marine trilogy focusing on Captain Titus. “I had some big plans for Titus,” van Lierop told PAR. “The second part of his story was to focus on a ‘Titus Unleashed’ plot-basically there were forces arrayed against him that would see his loyalty to the Adeptus Astartes pushed to its limit, and his reaction would be to kind of ‘go rogue,’ and we'd see a different Titus, not quite as in control as we saw him in Space Marine. He would be kicked out as a consequence-exiled, which would basically be a death sentence for him.” The sequel would've been a much more aggressive game than the first one, which showed Titus and his marines take down all sorts of enemies, from Orcs to Chaos forces. The third would bring things to an epic conclusion, according to van Lierop. “He would survive, and come back even stronger in the third game, where other Space Marines still loyal to him would rally around him and he'd return to ‘clean house,’ but as the head of a brand new Chapter that we would build around him.” -- So if we are to take the interview as canon for Titus' character, he at some point returns to the Ultra-Marines or resumes activities with another Chapter, only to be exiled later due to his not following orders or something of the like to accomplish a goal. He then returns from Exile in a 3rd game, raising a brand new chapter around him and he would presumably save the day, likely ending his exile and becoming Chapter Master of whatever Chapter he unintentionally or intentionally created. Its tragic that financial issues prevented this from coming to pass, as a trilogy of games this has amazing potential. I hope we someday see it, or at least a similar playing game that depicts the Space Marines properly again.

I remember reading some interview with one of the writers for the Space Marine and obvs the question of sequels came up... the writer stated that Titus should've (somehow) found his own chapter, which would soon be declared renegade chapter, although they would still be loyal to the Imperium... something like Legion of the Damned maybe?

Titus was a great character and I would love to see/read any further arcs on this character, finished.

I just recently finished the game, again, trying to figure out some of the story, and how "human" space marines can be, even if it's the Ultrasmurfs chapter. My theory as to how Titus can withstand the scourge and the warp, is that he's an unknown psyker, with latent abilities (like the fury/rage ability), and being near (within a couple of metres) the psychic scourge may have been a catalyst, to trigger the resistance, but not strong enough to trigger whatever other abilities he may have. Granted this is the least likely answer, but a lot of it does make sense. Also, taking into consideration, that he survived a crashing Ork plane/"spacecraft". From low orbit., And survived a crashing Ork battering ram/train. The other option is that he's being controlled by one of the chaos gods (possibly Tzeentch), to "kill Nemeroth"/cause a chaos invasion, while dealing with the Orks. As to where he went, after willingly going with Thrax, who knows? Maybe Tzeentch helped Titus out, by giving him an escape option; maybe Blood Ravens took him in, to better understand this resistance; maybe he's a part of the Deathwatch, a grey knight, or an inquisitors retinue/body guard/ honor guard; maybe left on an "uninhabited" world, with the basics to survive; or maybe he was given the emperor's peace, and shot dead. All of these are very possible options, but chances are well probably never know the truth, unless a game developer picks up the I.P. and gets the licence from games workshop to develop a sequel. And Games Workshop aren't exactly giving their I.P.'S out, due to the mess that was dawn of war 3...

Titus is such a cool dude i want him to have "the devil's luck" and all these things happened to him, now he roams the galaxy as a ex-deathwatch chaplain who has trained with the grey knights but failed to psychic part so he was abducted by the inquisition and is now rogue inquisitor loyalist who is just incorruptible but unlucky

This is old news, but after the Space Marine 2 cinematic trailer, is clear Titus returned to the Ultramarines, now as a Primaris. I still liked to know what happen before that

My head cannon for the end of old Titus is as follows: On a world far out in the galaxy a party of Inquisitorial storm troopers are defending a bomb in the middle of a decimated city. The purpose of this bomb is to deny the world from the hands of chaos. Its blast will annihilate every useful resource the planet has. Demons swirl around them as the Inquisitor stands side by side with the groups resident space marine Captain Titus. With fighting raging on a drop ship swings in above. With a few well place rounds the group put down the last few demons in the area but they know it will be only minutes before they are back. Captain Titus know what must be done. With only a look to the inquisitor he has served with all these years, he knows too. With a swift order the storm troopers retreat to the drop ship. All except one. The guardsmen protests to Titus realizing what he plans to do just his face. Titus places his hand of Mira's shoulder as to say its alright. This Guardsmen he vouched for all that time ago. With a heavy nod Mira turns and hops on the drop ship. As Titus watches the drop ship leave he hears the roar of demons approaching. Titus is surprised when find himself smiling, when was the last time that happened? He laughs as he remembers an old song his mother taught him. She said it was an old Terra song only true warriors sing when they face a worth death. Turning to the bomb he begins to sing. "Almost heaven, West Virginia, blue rig mountains, Shenandoah river..." As the Demons begin the climb the pile of rubble towards him. Titus slams round after round into them. "Life is old there, older than the trees, younger than the mountains, blowing like a breeze." As demon after demon blink out of existence, banished back to the warp. "Country roads, take me home, to the place I belong, west Virginia, mountain mama, take me home country road." As Titus last round pings to the ground. Switching to his chain sword and decapitating a demon that managed to get close. "Country roads, take me home, to the place I belong!" As the demons push in more and more. "West Virginia, mountain mama!" As Titus is stabbed with a demons sword and pushed back to the bomb. The bombs timer reading 10 seconds. With every once of his strength Titus pushed against the demons pulling them just out of reach of the bombs detonator. Titus looks to the shy as he bellows "take me home, country road!" As the counter reaches 0. Smash cut to orbit as the blast engulf the whole field of vision for all those on board the ship in orbit. Several guardsmen could be heard crying as the whole company salutes. All except for the last one in line. Silently saluting is Captain Mira. "You proved them all wrong Captain. You were indeed a good pure man. One of the best."

My opinion on this topic is that Titus was a Null, which is why he was unnaffected by the Warp's energy, and that Thrax sensed that particularity and then decided to enroll Titus as an Inquisiton asset or perhaps even a Grey Knight
