Taylor Bell i have to agree it doesn’t sound like auto tune because it’s not consistent - and she sounds TOO out of tune in the tune bits for it to be auto tune, if that makes sense! My guess is she had a sore throat and her vocal cords just weren’t doing what she expected of them, plus she’s neglected her voice. The world pride performance and Live Earth performances show that Madonna live is consistently pitchy, but normally in tune when she’s still. She’s 60 now and perhaps she needs some coaching to relearn how to use her voice in the condition it is NOW. Remember she have us amazing vocals on tracks like Frozen and Ray Of Light - she has it in her, it’s just rusty!

I’m 1 of the biggest Madonna fans there is & I’ve been to every Madonna Tour & this wasn’t good but this is amazing compared to her 1998 MTV performance of "Shanti/Ashtangi" "Ray of Light" that performance is really really bad & when she toured 3 years later on her Drowned World Tour 2001 she lowered the Octave on frozen on her DWT & I’m glad she did because in concert she sounded amazing singing Frozen & Like A Prayer on all her tours from 2001 through 2019 when she toured last with her Madame X Tour.

Sami O Interesting - I’ve said for years that she’s a great musician despite not being a great live singer, but I didn’t know that she herself says the same thing!

Sami O She may not be a good live singer these days due to age and clearly not practicing enough. However, back in the day her voice was good. Her voice may not have been outstanding but she would still manage to hit most of the notes while keeping up the choreography for hours. Madonna has a unique and emotional voice. For decades, she has been strongly criticized for her singing voice not being perfect and in the end she just doesn’t seem to care anymore which is a shame.

I mean, she's not a *great* live singer, but she is in her 60s lol. Every now and then she surprises us with a pretty good vocal performance. But did people forget the whole Ray of Light era? Her live vocals then were amazing. I'd say 1998-2012 is peak Madonna vocal wise

To say she could never really sing is an inaccurate statement to make. Yes, she has had her fair share of bad moments, everyone does. But she also has more than her share of good ones. She did excellent on the Rebel Heart Tour (look up the Dress You Up/Into the Groove/Lucky Star/Everybody medley), citing a more recent example. For an old example, watch her 1982 performance of Everybody at the Dancereria. Or just listen to her old recordings - pitch correction didn’t exist back then so how someone sounded on record was how they were actually singing it back then.

In the Eurovision don't compete best Europe's vocalists, actually, they avoid taking part in this enterprise XDDD Yeah, a lot of them is usually pretty good, but mostly there go singers who want to gain some fame because they are not that well known in their countries (literally, in my country out of last 5 years 1 singer was actually popular before taking part in Eurovision cause he was in X Factor and really has some awesome vocals). Eurovision is more like a show, not showing vocal skills, they aren't that important there.

Eurovision does not feature Europe's best vocalists. In fact, most countries send fairly unknown or only locally known singers to the competition. It's not really seen as a very prestigious thing to compete there and most people with established careers avoid it.
